Is jukebox mode just like tekken tunes from ttt2? Cause I gotta get those T5 and Tag1 soundtracks again. Can’t play a tekken game with Moonlit Wilderness
I Main/ Sub both (Used to main Kaz sub Feng but I’m getting old so I play more feng these days Damn electric makes my Carpal Tunel flare up) The way they are designed I just don’t think the can ever not be top tier.
Hwoarang and Xiayou top are the real suprises But as the front page article said she has a safe unseeable low launcher now which is the dumbest thing to ever give that character.
Well, Harada is personally attending that event on the 20th and I won’t be surprised if they announce a character will be appearing on Tekken 7 (or nothing significant is stated there). I mean Miguel was announced when Harada was in Spain for Barcelona Games World this past October and Lee Chaolan was announced in August at Gamescom in Germany. I would assume either a completely new character will be revealed, an old character will be returning (Capos and Lei Wulong are popular picks in this part of the World), or nothing is announced and Harada just wants to come to Peru.
On the other hand, this means they’re probably nerfing b+1,4. Sad, that move is stupidly strong atm and it’s fun.
Knee put Xiaoyu as top 3 in his last list (along Drag and Law), and added notes below saying that “Dragunov and Xiaoyu were really easy to do well with”.
drag hasnt changed in any version
since the intial build when nobi was winning with him hes been good
xiayou has good damage now which was one of her problems
her evasiveness is always good and some of her strings are natural hit combos now
devil jin is the best mishima he has ws 1,3 like angel for a 13 frame wallsplat along with regular twin pistons.
hellsweep launches like like it did in t5 again so if you master wavedash/lightdash into ws 2 ( the mid launcher) along with EWGF
you now have 3 unseeable launchers the opponent has to guess in neutral when he approaches
his only minor issue like always is tracking as his homing moves arent the best but even thats not that big with laser scraper strings EWGF that tracks and df2 ( tracks to the right a little).
Since when did Claudio drop so much? Wasn’t he like top tier at some point?
I was thinking of maining him
Even Shaheen doesn’t look like the S++ tier he was…
This tier list shouldn’t change ur mind on Claudio. The great thing about tekken is that it isnt so match and tier dependant as other games. If u kno ur shit any character can win for the most part. Saint won TKOIF with Jack and look where he is on that list (I kno Saint can play anyone he wants and still win but still). Not that tier lists really mean much anyways
Hwoarang isnt a surprise to me. He was hella gd in TTT2 its just that not many people played him and the ones that did didnt play him well with the exception of a few. He had some set ups and +frame moves that were crazy and from what I have heard in T7 he is one of only 2 characters that has a safe on block Rage Art
fresh new characters will always look good at first.
in most games they are too good and in many times transcend the engine simply because developers want to make them appealing.
they went untouched in the later builds though and since the top characters have been around for so long namco has a natural feel for how to tinker balance with them.
new ones go untouched.
the older characters were more fleshed out from the beginning.
more builds, more changes they start to get more playtime… you see what happens.
its not that they are bad but it seems that they are just solid nothing really stands out other than starburst stuff for claudio and full crouch mixups for shaheen.
Also this is a character usage list and the ranks of the players that use them
tools fit in the discussion (since they arent silly enough to put jack at top even though saint uses him but really its more based on usage.
knee uses devil jin so naturally hes gonna show.
lowhigh has a really good shaheen but he never uses him in tournament and he barely uses him on stream.
its why eventually i think nina will jump up a tier or 2 once she gets more representation.
only practice uses her sparingly and her tools fit the game so well I think she’ll get better as time moves on.
For what it’s worth it doesn’t do a whole lot of damage because it tailspins if it hits, and before she had it you always had to worry about backturned throws if you were trying to turtle against RDS stance anyway.
Uuuhh I just watched the PS4 footage video… why does everything in game look so blurry and downscaled? It feels 720p-ish even if the interface is 1080p.
Also the loading times, ugh. It doesn’t even have the excuse of having a full 3D animation to load like SF5.
I hope the PC port will run better because this one looks terrible.
I’m gonna go ahead and say this is FAR from a final build of the game, since Murray mentioned they lowered the load times to as low as 15 seconds, and the bulld in the game took 40 seconds to load
Well that and recording software/capture card/YouTube downgraded the footage tremendously compared to what it’s gonna look like on your actual TV
