Or a PC version that is actually better than console version. SF4 and SF5 can be set up to have less input delay than their console counterparts. Both have better graphics on PC as well. Then there is unofficial modding on top of it all.
Skullgirls on PC is the definitive version and has the endless beta where they do experimentation builds.
Pretty much every PC version of a fighting game is, if set up properly, better looking and less likely to have frame drops than the console version.
There is, however, a lot more variables to work with. There is a higher chance of failure, no question. It’s also harder to do a good PC port than a good console port. So it’s not all pixie farts and unicorn boners, there are issues.
According to this, looks like Tekken 7 is out on consoles on March 31st, likely a placeholder date but still, it’s an indicator to the final release date.
I predict that we are probably going to get at least 20 more characters. I don’t know. But, based on how Nina and Kazumi are placed and the number of slots, we shouldn’t be too far off. Otherwise, we will have to wait and see after EVO2016.
EDIT
There are supposedly 14 slots so I counted them wrong. I included the spaces after Jack and Yoshimitsu’s positions.
Yeah the positioning on the T7 Char Select screen is very weird. It’s either a mistake (two slots missing on the bottom row + random select takes two spots) or they are indeed hinting that we’re getting 14 more characters.
Would be pretty fucking insane if true, so I guess it implies future updates will add new cast members like they did for the console version of TTT2
Harada already stated there’s an update coming July. Also his aim in regards to character was around the mid/upper 30s since before FR. Then you gott take into account the possibility of things like Mokujin and the bear(s) taking up a slot or so. Dunno if Roger or Alex make it thoughn
As a moderator on the local Tekken Facebook group, a PC version does worry me a bit. In a year, it’s gonna be a mini horde of pirate jejemons asking for combos then revealing that they did infact pirated the PC version.
It’s gonna be like T6 all over again when all these guys begging for tips and combos turn out to be just PSP 1player heroes, or worse, emulated PSP on PC or mobile.
Next thing you know, all of the #BuffLars jokes will end up manifesting on the PC edition in the worst possible way. And, let’s not even talk about the mods…
