It’s not like they get any feedback from consoles. Game doesn’t have servers to save stats, replays or anything, so I guess they’ll test shit out in the arcade for a couple of weeks/month then roll the changes out to console after TWT finals.
It was a power-low that was really annoying to punish. At best you got some kind of ground hitting move like Kazuya f,f+4.
I believe they increased the damage a bit.
You could never punish it with a lot of damage from what I remember, the key difference I can remember from old games is that she now recovers in crouch instead of on the floor so she has follow up options, some guaranteed, some leading back to square one. I agree with the nerf that you should be able to punish it with something more than basic pokes and chip damage…so floating her is cool imo.
I always thought I was late on my ws float starter when I blocked that shit. It didn’t even cross my mind that that shit was safe lol.
It’s not safe, but the punish sucks for most of the cast. You need a good ground hitting move and even that is subpar considering how good that low is. I think Leo gets the best punish with u+3+4 > df+2+3, though I haven’t really tested that and it’s like measly 36 damage even with that lol
The punish is hella awkward too then. You gotta go from crouch to standing without using while standing up moves, then go to something that hits the ground like Paul’s db+2 or d+2, when my usual muscle memory dictates to go for my ws juggle or floater from blocking a powerful low.
That’s a pretty good change in my opinion and doesn’t invalidate Ling as a top tier character.
Actually all of the nerfs seem very sensible and don’t distract the core of what makes the characters good.
at least win/los and rank are sended to the leaderboard aka server after a ranked match.
maybe even the char you have and other little infos to get a overview about the usage or certain chars and theire win %
this of course doesnt help with certain aspect of the chars but for that they have enough pro play footage to see what is good or not.
i dont judge the balance patch till we actually get it…
I’ve figured that were the case, but still wanted to hear some thoughts on the matter, nevertheless.

just in case you dont know.
thats for the mobile tekken game.
it has nothing to do with tekken7 so dont expect anything from there to come over to t7.
its his own thing, not like the mobile game of injustice or mkx which is tied to the real home version.
Tekken Grand Battle (Lyon )Stream Top8 going on right now.
fun game
indeed, is this a alt or are you new?
when the later one, welcome to the forum.
how come people aren’t posting as much anymore?
Anybody go to tournaments recently or having successes/problems?
I couldnt go to my last one because other things in life frame trapped me lmfao some of them good though
havent been playing well as of late also so im just trying to lab matchups really asuka and eddy
in one of my earlier posts i gave some misinformation
i was thinking that ff2 from devil jin or the demon paw was -11 on block this meant in older tags that characters like jack could punish it with f2 or hwoarang with 3, 4
but today i found out that its -8
completely safe regardless
this changes the matchup dramatically especially with jack
now you get a key move back that can be abused against him
hes bigger so its harder to sidestep as well and safe
you can play more fluid now i was using him for the jack matchup because he can punish things that other cant like df1 , 2 ,1, 2 with f3+4
f3+4 is really good against moves with pushback
like ff2 from bears and
demoman, deathfist…
acutally he punishes the weird stuff too
hes actually on par with kazuya in terms of punishment
i already used him for playing against jack but now i feel even better about this matchup i just have to understand even more
Lots of people don’t play anymore and I’m not progressing at the moment because I’m on the Yakuza grind and my ISP is fucking up big time.
i guess its a mix of it being a finished game the arcade version came out two years ago and
tech talk isnt such a huge thing anymore since you find all the stuff already in videos or places like tekken zaibatsu.
people use the sfV thread for general chit chat stuff or talk about the new chars, leaks ect and community wise, there is not much going on here.
when geese comes out it might lead to some more discussion. non then less this doesnt mean that overall people are not interested in the game as you
can see with its kinda large playerbase. this forum is filled with people who tend more to capcom games…which isn’t such a huge surprise, being in the srk forum.
some tried the game out and got back for various reasons.
we have some europes/pc user here and i hope in the future we manage to get some more sessions going, maybe even some just for fun tournaments
via the game mode or even real ones with longer sets to bring a bit more live into this thread/forum in term of tekken talk…even when its just talk about the sessions
we did with feedbacks ect.
Well I’m keep posting stories of my progress or tourney experiences, here.
Went to the tourney last night, Monday tournaments are typically 17-20+ people. This was my best tournament experience so far.
1st match against a King player, he beat my Claudio. Wasn’t that good, but I have a mental block against King players as I’ve lost to two different King players in the past who I thought wasn’t that good. I picked bryan won, and found out in the 3rd match he couldn’t block a snake edge. I won. Later on this same King player was playing a Jack player who rage quit in the middle of a stream and walked out before the match was over.
Second match against a solid dude/friend who was at my place two weeks ago for casuals, this guy typically places 2nd through 4th at these Monday tournaments and is top 8 material at WNF. I knew I was going to pick Xiaoyu from the start no matter what he chose, he chose Bryan and I tried to play solid without gimmicks and won. Funny thing is my bryan and hwoarang could not beat his bryan in casuals at my house. He switched to Lucky Chloe and beat my ling convincingly 3-0, I then switched to Kazumi and won. I don’t know anything about Chloe but I just played it safe. This was my biggest win to date and was an upset. I played it cool afterward, Dude said, “good shit Jeremy”, I know he’s going to look to get his revenge in the future. Some of the other players saw the bracket and were surprised and happy I sent him into losers.
Third match was on stream against another dude who places top 3-4 at the Monday tournaments, Hwoarang vs Dragonuv. I lost 3-2 in rounds. Had to switch to kazumi. Got one round and lost. Shoulda stuck with hwoarang the whole way. No salt here, shook his hand and told him good stuff cause the guy played extremely solid. I don’t know much about the dragonuv matchup. He told me afterwards he was hoping I wouldn’t use Bryan…
Fourth match was also on stream, I was expecting for this OG player to use Jack, but he picked Feng against my Hwoarang instead. Close match up lost 3-2 in rounds. Had to switch to Kazumi, and lost. Shoulda have stuck with hwoarang.
So what I’ve gathered here is 1)Never use Claudio in tournament again , unless I’m going to run the fuck away from Xiaoyu. 2) Kazumi is not necessarily my best character offline as I thought. I should never switch characters if the round count is close.
