when Yoshi is going for 3+4 on his wakeup &
I block that but after that Yoshi player presses 1? in order to juggle me
I can’t seem to block that move, low, high and neutral block all don’t work.
also is there a way to avoid yoshi’s low sword spin juggle or is that an unblockable?
Also his low sword trip has to be done out of full crouch, which telegraphs it somewhat. Be prepared for it if you see a Yoshi crouch next to you. It’s a really good move in general though, but you can beat it if you see it coming since it does have a bit of startup.
thanks
that would actually mean, it would be a better choice to take the 3+4 wakeup instead of blocking it right
maybe I sidestep it, I need to try it later
Ye, I might be able to beat Yoshi’s low with Paul d+1.
On a side note: Paul has that 3+4 wakeup for a guard crush as well.
You can sidestep that shit and interrupt it with a mid.
It’s easier to be ready for it and stop it if you always pay attention to the way people lie on the ground on a knockdown.
not going to happen.
best chance to see him again will be the next tag game.
after some thoughts…since geese is the next thing to come i guess we will see the rest of the content of dlc pack2.
showing the second one before the first appears seems to early.
Anyone seen this? So good, by far the best T7 character breakdown i’v seen.
Unfortunately it does seem it takes a good while to make, so i won’t be expecting it for the entire cast unless they get a whole team working on it lol.
Yeah I was watching since the first part, he was a sick channel who disappeared out of nowhere and then popped right back up with this guide. Hope he does one for Asuka, I enjoy playing her.
We just had a huge tier discussion in my local FGC*, and then some guy posted that chart. I later found out that it’s from this video from Knee’s channel. So it’s clear it’s pretty legit.
Almost everyone in said local discussion also considered Jack to be top 5, actually. I think a lot of people will place a lot of value on characters that are straightforward and reward basic Tekken fundamentals nowadays. Our last tournament had a guy that was one of our T5DR top dogs but hasn’t played for years, who picked up Shaheen (another very strong and very easy character) and got 3rd place, a feat that included coming out of the winners side of a disgustingly stacked pool.
But, as I’ve said before, I don’t really think tiers matter in T7. Not at the level I’m playing at. So I can keep shilling for my girl Leo.
kasumi is alright but i dont think shes top
other than that i mostly agree with the list
the reason why jack should be high and me and my friends also discussed is because its easy to bring out 100% of his potiential in tournament
its hard as fuck to drop combos with him which is very important and his oki setups and general implementation of pure fundamentals dont change no matter the matchup i think everyone should have a pocket jack
im learning him now because i wanna better understand the character even though there isnt much
the best characters are the best because on top of having good pokes/moves and frames they have stuff that you know is key but even if you know its still effective
like everyone and they mama knows that when you face drag d2 and fff2 is coming but even if you know its still hard to stop. when you have to play the player and its hard to exploit much then thats when the character is good
the best you gonna get out of exploiting devil jin is sidestepping and even though chanel made it look easy against qudans that shit was so hard to do and very precise
ling has more shit that is natural combo now and better frames
she does actual damage now and has the best rage drive in the game
leo is just really good
its hard to make his tool kit bad unless you wanna make him absolute shit
i think akuma should be higher actually but thats just me he actually reminds me of kazuya
good punishers
limited movelist so you have to be creative
insane damage off of hits
semi 50/50s but they arent as good as kazuya
I really feel like the game at the highest level can be separated into which characters have the most ease of access and consistency as opposed to having strong tools. Tekken balancing is strange, execution with just frames can be so tough characters drop tiers due to it.
