VF has one of the most balanced character rosters imo
DOA might be known as a titty fighter but it has enough depth with its advanced paper/rock/scissor setup and subsystems.
It even pioneered multi-level/breakaway stages long before tekken adopted it.
btw, when you intend to do a 2 player lobby with a friend who lives nearby you,
its better to go to the quicksearch section with the warmup room and find each other there.
endless rematches without to going back to a lobby with faster loading times since it just shows the vs screen again isntead to go trough the whole char select and stuff.
tried it out with several people and we found each other pretty quick that way.

Its one of the best 3D fighters known to man. Yeah, the characters are either REALLY BORING or REALLY GOOFY, but it FEELS SO GOOD to play it! If there was even a chance to play it on Steam with the same online bracket tournament style as Tekken 7 and Kumite mode was brought back in, I would be all over it.
To be fair, I say that the characters are boring for every franchise I didnāt play as a kid.
I almost exclusively play fighting games I got some emotional connection to that was established in the past.
