Well I mean, you were asking why people think she has great punishment, and the guide tells you what tools she has which gives her a strong punishment game…
Thanks for this!
Never played tekken (t3 as a kid doesn’t count) and I started with kazuya. By that character overview, jin should be a better fit for my style
the reality is that you have to pick who you want
when I first got into tekken I wanted to play mishimas and nina. guides, people and tutorials will tell you different. but if you like the character that will take you farther and at some point you going to run into the mountain.
picking a character that is supposed to be easier will have their weaknesses exploited in the long run with this game and theres a way around EVERYTHING. picking the character that you want will have some hurdles especially since nina is difficult to use but as long as you are willing to take the dive into learning fundamentals and her very specific stuff all at once and not let it overwhelm you you should be good. you will get your ass whooped like everyone does but its the rite of passage.
better to dive in with someone you are passionate about so that the blows you will take will be more meaningful and provide more growth. dont want to become disenchanted with the game because you are using someone you dont wanna use. the important thing is to find good competition. I have been blessed with alot of old school players that continued to play when the scene was low and they really just want people to play with the game so they would go in and give their best every match regardless.
there were days that sucked learning certain people and finding stuff (especially mishimas) only to go like 2-20 in my matches with advanced players. but you see what you did right and just try to build on doing those things along with exploring what can beat them in the sequences they are winning.
Anyone knows any Eliza tips and tricks as well as basic BnB’s? I was all hyped up to play the character to the point of pre-ordering the game(which was pointless since they still had Day One Editions in my gamestop…) but now that I have the game…I have no idea how to use her because I never got the chance to even unlock her in Revolutions…
Atleast with Lili, she should still somewhat work like she does in Tekken 6 and Revolutions so yeah…
I wonder how good or bad does the characters speak in their native languages. I am Egyptian and By god Shaeen’s Arabic is hilariously bad. It is Saturday morning cartoon level bad. There is zero accent, He is Saudi (I think) but he speaks text book Arabic without doing it perfectly which makes it incredible cringy. He talks as if he is reading lines from pages with zero emotion in his voice.
Can anyone share how good/bad the other characters talk in the other languages ?
Most VAs are actually native speakers. I’m pretty sure that’s the case for Claudio, Lili, Miguel, the Brazilians etc. I don’t know about Leo, I thought it wasn’t a German VA but I started doubting because it’s very well made. If the VA didn’t change since TTT2 and T6 it’s supposed to be Veronica Taylor, aka the voice of Ash Ketchum in Pokémon.
I still have some doubts about Shaheen too, sounds a little weird to me for an Arab. Maybe @amrraed could tell me what he thinks about that.
btw why aren’t we doing SRK online tournaments? Lots of people from EU are playing the game here. I think the netcode is fine enough to do East Coast+EU tournaments.
He is talking arabic but he is talking it without any accent and in a very emotionless manner. Like he is reading from a page. It is Arabic so, he is probably a native but is super phoning it in. He sounds like some news reporter or something.
He is talking in a abnormally formal manner is what i am trying to say but still, i don’t think the voice matches the character well.
