That stick is ass. Look at the button layout. It’s configed for Soul Calibur, BlazBlue, Arcana Heart, style not Tekken, Street Fighter, or KOF style. That means before every match you’ll have to reconfigure your buttons something that never happens in Tekken matches. That means everyone who plays where you played has to reconfigure their buttons too. Not to mention it’s wireless, probably just has Hori parts.

I mean how bad of a stick can you produce. That stick has fail written all over it.

Wait lol I just checked the twitter page for Bob. Only the Xbox360 stick has the messed up Button config. Lol.

But really those aren’t legit stick pictures clearly. It’s clearly a draw up in some kind of digital design software. So the final product probably wont even look like that. But what in gods name would make Namco think a wireless stick would be good?

Sooooo since when did you start working for Hori and can confirm they’re not legit pictures? :blah:

I’m not as excited now for this as I was before.I used to play Tekken 5 every single day.SFIV killed that.I’m glad this is coming out for 360 so I can actually get it.I hope this renews my love for Tekken.I have been in love with Tekken since the first one.I played that religiously too.

Second take a look at the picture. That’s not a real stick. It’s clearly a CG rendering of what the stick MAY look like when it’s done.

Look at the shadows, look at the placement of the buttons and the edge of the stick case. It’s not real, nothing in that picture is.

Third the bundle is $150. The game is $60, are you honestly going to tell me that they are going to sell you a Full Sanwa, wireless, hori stick, for $90? That stick would be worth more then the bundle itself. Hell the HRAP series costs $120 and it only has a Sanwa stick. No way it’s going to be full Sanwa. I’ll eat my shirt if it is. And who knows how modable it will be. It might be mounted on plastic frames and be incredibly difficult to put real shit in there.

Also the only stick I ever used that was wireless had tons of lag. I’ve never used a high quality wireless stick ever. There are many reason why you the consumer should not buy that stick. I’m warning you not to waste your money. If you don’t want to believe me fine. I’m trying to help you guys.

And for the record, anyone that was at Devastation and played on the PS3 station prolly played on my Byrdo stick which is wireless(uses a SIXAXIS PCB), and I’ve heard zero complaints and much praise from everyone that used it.

To squash rumors of wired/wireless, the only reasons why people say to not use wireless is due to:
Interference - which you’d have to have a signal of greater power operating on the same frequency to cause noticeable issues
Random Mid-match Pairing - my stick’s PS3 button is on the side of my stick, about an inch inside of the frame, so there’s no logical reason for a random pairing. This is a design flaw on other sticks/converters/etc.
Controllers Dropping Signal/“Un-pairing” - No logical reason for this other than batteries(pay attention)/too many people pairing on one system(see above)

Wireless is just as good as wired now. Get with the times.

Oh that was you? I was the guy w/the staff shirt that brought over the HRAP3. I can vouch for that wireless stick being just as good as wired.

Has any information been released that would indicate whether or not the PS3 wireless Hori uses a USB dongle in order to provide the wireless connectivity? To me, it would be a deal breaker if it did not utilize the native PS3 bluetooth communications. I’ve been looking for a better stick for PS3 and hopefully this will be it.

not 100% sure, but i bet it’s wireless and not bluetooth just like the other 3rd party controllers. they’ll probably give you a usb that you need to put in you ps3 usb port and that’s how it will work out…

This is most likely I doubt they would allow 1 stick to work on both systems that just doesn’t make sense from a business point of view.

No, using proper bluetooth on PS3 does not mean the stick will work on both consoles. In fact, it automatically renders the stick only usable on the PS3 since the Xbox 360 does not use bluetooth.

IMO, each stick should use the target console’s built-in communications method. A USB dongle would be a mistake.
