Its just a costume for yoshimitsu I say!
Wireless stick? Tempting.
It says hori right on the stick.

this was todays news…
hope that wireless is full sanwa…
EDIT: MarkMan notes
"No word yet on whether or not the components are Hori or Sanwa. One interesting thing to note however is that the buttons are a color that Sanwa does make. Also the stick has a shaft cover, something not normally found on Hori components."
I’m impressed with the stick ( Hopefully it’s actually real sanwa parts and not Hori’s own ) , but however I’m a bit disappointed with the wait of the actual game release . I guess by the time the game comes out I’m probably going to think that it was worth the wait .
Lookin’ at the xbox stick…
I was thinking the button layouts was going to be like sf4’s stick, where A and B would be at the bottom row and X and Y would go on the top row.
Instead, it’s horizontal with each other? What? The PS3 one looks fine and what a typical layout of the stick from pad would be, but what’s up with the 360 stick?
I’ll wait for more info. before I pre-order mines. Maybe I won’t need to buy the sf4 stick after all
sucks b***s…not worth the preorder…
the stick sucks as well…the MadCatz TE is better.
Wow you’ve used the stick already?
It looks a lot like the Highgrade, which is a notch bellow the TE.
^because dark hai colored buttons are slightly inferior to white buttons? or because the start and select are on the top instead of the side?
Thanks for giving such a thoughtful review of a product that isn’t even out yet.:bluu:
Anyways, the cardboard samurai outfit looks pretty neat, and the customizable samurai war banners sound cool, so I might plunk down for the regular version, since I have a te and an ex2(><) already. Wonder if the samurai outfit is limited to pre-orders, or if it’ll be released as d.content later on, which pretty much squanders the point of pre-ordering
I don’t like the fact the stick is wireless. But it’s cool that the “brand name” fighters are coming out with hard ware along with their games.
Hopefully the parts are sanwa as well since the stick is as much as the TE was.
It’s 149.99 for the stick AND the game so if you remove the 59.99 portion for the game the stick isn’t that much. So Sanwa parts are a big stretch…
The Virtua Stick High Grade was all Sanwa and retailed for like 79.99 or something like that when it first came out. $90.00 all sanwa parts for this tekken 6 stick isn’t that far of a stretch but we will see. Maybe it will be a hori stick with sanwa buttons.
I actually like hori sticks more than sanwa sticks for tekken games.
The PS1 Yellow Namco is my favorite stick for tekken besides korean stick. I like the t5 anniversary stick as well and would prefer those sticks to the HRAP series for tekken.
Oh! I didn’t see that it came with the game. Haha. Thanks for the correction.
This would be ideal.
I think the sticks look alright. Nothing special, sanwa parts or not.
It definitely looks like the SE and TE sticks are still of the highest build quality as far as retail sticks go. Also the 360 button layout/mapping looks like a disaster. On the plus side, it IS the first retail/legit wireless stick. Too bad I could careless about wireless.
plus this year is the 15th anniversary of tekken…
so lets hope they go all out on this stick… just wondering how good the wireless is
This is pretty much my main concern. I might get it just because of the collectors aspect of it. And besides, you can never have too many arcade sticks.
This stick has to be better than the SE. But i wonder why this is an 8 button layout instead of 6…
