4 people lobbies , you can invite / kick in both ranked and player

netcode so far is way better than DRO , there is a bit of delay but not gamebreaking

Good to know, were you playing across the country or playing people on your coast?

Online coop for Campaign won’t be patched in til December.

7 matches so far , 4 full bar and 3 yellow bar , all non laggy , except for some random lag spikes here and there

dunno their location

really ? did Namco say that coz if its true then that sucks

Yeah, Namco has said so.

thanks Markman

This I can understand. what has namco been doing all this time? was it really that great of a task to put tekken 6 on consoles? was the story mode really such a big deal that they had to spend years on it? I can’t understand how alot of basic stuff got left out of the game, and needs to be patched. I would go as far to say it’s unacceptable. and 2p not getting custom constumes better be patched on release day. That’s just madness.

Unfortunately the success of Tekken 6 more greatly relies on how strong the story is than whether or not small competitive training options and costumes are in the game. Especially in America where everyone wants to play a game that’s essentially a movie they press buttons in. No one wants to put work into their games anymore.

so this is what I had to say about the online so far, I’ll just quote myself from the PS3 thread in GD

Oh, and Wiz already confirmed it was the real him, though he did say since the netcode is ass he is just 10 stringing people to death, lol.

Is it possible the Post Update isn’t out yet since it’s not release day?

Kind of like how Blazblue netcode was for people. People playing it online before release date were saying there was lag, then Aksys released the Netcode patch on launch day and it ran smooth as butter.

I wouldn’t rule that out at all, but we can only hope at this point. and like I said it could have been my connection (though I normally have a decent one)

either way, it’s worth the money if you’re a fan of fighting games, I don’t even need to mention Tekken fans cuz I know they will get it regardless, but as a fighting game it is solid, pretty balanced and really fun

hmmm i only got lagless matches so far ( dont play red bars , those lag in any game )

the netcode atm is leagues ahead of DRO’s and SCIV’s , but if they patch it to make it even better then thats just beyond awesome :lovin:

yeah I played a lot of red bars, but oh well. I did play green bars and while they were better still had some input lag. so like I said could be the netcode, could be my connection…shoot it could be that your connection is amazing, haha.

lol ya , there were some random lag spikes and hiccups here and there sometimes , but it still played smooth overall

wouldnt mind an improvement patch though

I thought it was some unknown extra thing being ready for download in december, and the online co op being released on the 27th OF OCTOBER

someone confirm this for me please

Ki, Markman confirmed a patch for T6 will be available in December, no details on its contents.

I do not know if story is a big deal but it definitely help. Look at BB. Wouldn’t hurt a fighting game to have a good story. I personally only care about the fighting. But the story can attract some people.

Even still, they put the story emphasis on the Tekken Force mode. Can’t imagine lots of casuals going apeshit about that.

ONE MORE DAY

What system are you playing it on?

Damn it sounds like the net play isn’t shaping up to be all that good, theres alot of mixed impressions, fingers crossed that they improve it in the future but I think I’ll be holding off my purchase until then (I wish my city had an arcade :<).

I think I’m going to be playing GGPO for life at this rate, fighting game devs (Capcom/Namco/SNK anyway…) need to step up with their netcode.
