Fuck Gamestop, I got it, I got the hori stick and the collectors edtion stuff. Know what I did? I called up other gamestores, found one that had some unopned ones, went to gamestop got my 50 dollars back, then had my brother drive me to get it. I still havent opened tekken 5 yet. I have been playing SF3, SFA3, and MVC2 with the hori. I think I am going to have to buy a teardrop/baseball bat joystick from HAAP and mod it out. The ball joystick is ok for tekken and VF but a teardrop would be better for my 2D. Worth the 100 dollars!

Wow, Devil Within mode was the most tedious, boring, horrific shit I ever played. Thank god thats over and done with. I wish they had just put something like Volleyball or Bowling back, I actually played those.

Sorry it took so long to respond, I’m in the process of moving so you may have seen the book already but if not here some info.
The guide breakdowns every characters strength, weakness, best and worse match-ups (as the guide puts it Nina is a bad match for damn near everybody :bgrin:). Of course they give all the moves and 10-hit combos but also they have combos that they made up (or stuff done in the arcade) for you to use. The other thing I like is the Top 10 moves for each characters. These moves will more than likely be the moves you or your opponent use the most.
I think its a pretty good gudie, looks great and you can tell they put in alot of work on this. I will say this though, as for the strengths and weakness and the match-up stuff it seems on point but I’m not a Tekken master to argue what they work so you might want to check out TZ for that infomation. All in all its a great pick up :tup:.
exactly how many ranks are there and how far am i towards getting the tekken master rank? i’m at champion rank right now…
Is Devil Jin Selectable in the Arcade Version?
I want to learn how to use him but if, you cant use him in tournaments I’ll just stick to Julia.

yeah, he is. i opted to beat the 200 matches in arcade mode to get him. how i know i had him is i lost on like my 145th match and saw the character select screen after i continued and his box was filled in with his profile, so i was like chea, fuck all this, and immediately went to practice mode haha.
long story short, yes, you can play as him in story, arcade, vs., team and survial modes.
Thanks. To be more specific what I meant by Arcade is the actual Tekken 5 Cabinets in Game Rooms, not Arcade Mode on the console version. But I assuming from your answer that he is also playable on the Arcade Cabinets and allowed in Tournies. :pleased:
I still haven’t unlocked Starblade in History mode. I have unlocked all the characters and have a character with the Tekken Lord rank.
Yeah, that narration during the story mode intros is funny, especially when it’s an animal. WTF?
And the story is broken. This game seemed like fan service. Half the cast should be dead (Baek, Heihachi, Bruce, Wang, Kazuya, etc).

I’m not liking the joystick either. I’ve never used a Japanese stick before, but it just feels weird. I can’t really do shoryukens or supers consistently in SFAC.
Seems like Feng is a bad matchup for steve to me. I had to switch to Bryan to take out my boy’s Feng.
Has anyone bothered with the custom outfits? I was gonna skip this completely but after turning my Feng into Golden Arm from the Shaw Brothers movie I decided to do a few others. :tup: Also Devil Jin with the Satan ram horns, spiked gloves, and long hair in his face is fucking bad ass looking.
The alternate costumes are crazy. Yoshimitsu is the strangest of them all.
Yes Devil Jin is a TRC in the arcade version, the only character not playable in the arcade (and probably console) is Jinpachi.
I think this is the first of the Tekken series where you couldn’t play the boss…
I don’t buy it though. There must be some way to play as Jinpachi.
I wish now that I bought the bundle instead of the regular version :-(. But they won’t let me return the game cause its opened. Boo. Any schemes that might help me in this endeavor?
Anyone else notice that on the pics for Lee’s ending, heihachi is wearing a bikini top, but in the actual ending, he wears no top? I just noticed it when i saw the ending. Are there differences with international versions or something? Not that I’m really stressing about seeing/not seeing his man boobs.
