I just want to say that is super slick looking and a million times better than the examples from earlier in the thread. Still though, in the last picture you can see the black inner lip and the light source is being reflected in all kinds of different directions (probably) because the paint went on uneven. To me that’d be unacceptable.
If you are referring to the inner lip above the plexi, that is liquid electrical tape, not wet sanded MDF, it is to provide better protection against having a stick rubbing against it, it dries a hard plastic rubber like texture. Thanks for the compliment and the troll though =)

I see, that’s cool. I didn’t mean to troll, was just pointing out the only flaw I could find. Given that it’s a feature of not scratching up the stick I think I’d let it slide.

Hmmm… seems to me that you could add a metal panel from Lightning Label Customs to the top of that stand pretty easily. I’m just saying…

What if i raised the insert put plexi on top make it flush and drill button/joystick holes hinge on the inside so you could open the top have your Paewang Revolution Multi Console pcbs inside and the usb a/b quick disconnects on the back , could make a 1 or 2 player version. That way you could put your own artwork in it make it your own, without all the hassle of masking off all the designs in tape.

The base can be ordered from IKEA for $40 it comes in red black or white,
I can make the top like this
$150 unfinished
$250 primer/sanded to 400 grit paper
$350 for like a 2 color theme and just clear coated or
$500 wet sanded to 2500 grit paper, nufinish, then turtle waxed to a piano finish
this includes the thick plexi piece cut to fit and inserts to fit the TE , Hori VLX, or if you want a custom size insert let me know your sticks dimensions.
