No offense, but you lose all credibility of a kids movie when Megan Fox does half the shit she does in said movies.
It’s one thing to make a kids movie that some adults can enjoy. It’s another to make a kids movie…but then make it so half of said movie is clearly marketed for adults.
Megan Fox dressed as a slutty school girl. Definitely a kids movie.

I saw it and I cant believe Im saying this as a fan of the Mirage comics, 1990 movie and 2003 cartoon, but…

Pros
Unlike Transformers and the previous 2014 film, the turtles are actually the main stars of this film.
Megan Fox and the humans are support. Will Arnett who was too overbearing last time is used sporadically.
Baxter Stockman, Bebop, Rocksteady are entertaining and have some good action scenes.
They’re played over the top with some lowbrow humor but no nearly as mudflap/skids from Transformers 2.
-Generally good sfx.
–There was a some conflict between the four and good interaction. Mike has the best lines as usual.
–Krang is not in the film much, but I liked his appearance, character/voice.
–Leos voice is now the mocap actors voice, which suits him a lot better than Johnny Knoxville
The movie is only 1 hr 43 min approx, so it doesn’t feel mind numbingly long like BVS.
Cons
Shredder does very little and doesn’t fight. He does not have the helmet on for long periods of time too.
Casey Jones is bland.It’s Oliver Queen emoting 10 % more than his arrow acting, and he seems to be closer to April than Raph/turtles

I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about it from those who’ve seen it already. I’m planning on taking my client to see it after he finishes school in a couple of weeks.
One review said that Sheamus killed it as Rocksteady, which doesn’t really surprise me being he seems to love doing goofy shit like that.
Plus I imagine he jobs in the movie. If there’s one thing Sheamus is great at, it’s jobbing.

-A lot of plot devices were brought into the movie but solved or forgot about minutes later
-Lack of Shredder being Shredder
-Will Arnett. Everything he did just felt forced and bad. Everyone tries to make him Gob from arrested development but outside of AD it doesn’t work and feels forced.
-Police Chief seemed out of place. Bad acting too. I wanted the cute asian girl with her to do more. She acted better than the police chief and I think she had 2 lines altogether
-Ending was corny AF.
And lastly my biggest complaint,
-Whatever the fuck his name is who plays not batman batman was god awful as Casey. Completely forgettable. Acted nothing like Casey. Wasn’t dark, gruff, dirty, ruthless, borderline psychotic. He was just “lol hockey” and in passing mentions he has an anger problem which outside of one scene they didn’t even show. Besides Raph, Casey is my favorite character so I always get set when they don’t know how to use him.
So Casey is shit like I expected he would be.
At least the movie as a whole is better than the last.
I been hearing that Oliver Queen is a really shitty Casey. I peg Tyler Perry to be the worst thing in the movie.
As someone who absolutely hates everything about Tyler Perry; him as Baxter was one of the best parts of the movie. They made him a blend of 90’s crazed Arian Baxter and goofy as fuck 2012-current Baxter. I really enjoyed it. It would have been better if they got Neil deGrasseTyson. But I don’t think the universe could handle that kind of awesome.
Disagree. I liked 1 a lot better than 2. I think 2 has a lot better moments in it but over all 1 is better than 2.

I’ll be seeing the movie tomorrow. I don’t hold the highest expectations but I didn’t mind the first movie that much. I still prefer the original 90s film and mirage comic (as I’m sure most people do) but I’ll keep a open mind.
Yea the change to casey as a whole was more to do with writing. Oliver queen was ok for what he was given.
Freaking Bebop and rocksteady were hands down my favorite part of the movie!! The end credits was also amazing.
LOL wut. Even most of SRK liked the first one. Its a kids movie with enjoyable moments for adults. Only weirdos were arguing about comic accuracy and all that stupid shit, when even most 80s babies grew up on tmnt the cartoon and the movies. Not the comic
I need to go back and see the first one again. First time i watchedi wasn to impressed by it. Maybe a rewatch will change my mind…
the only people who are mad about the turtles movie didnt see the turtles movie.
a. they saw michael bay was attatched and jumped on the hate train
b. assumed it wasnt anything to do with the first trilogy. which is fine since the first movie was the only good movie…the other two went off the fucking rails in terms of canon.
like if we’re being truly honest…ive mentioned it before the first michael bays turtles movie did a fuckton of research. lots of lil nods to toys,other cartoon series and obviously 80s movie.
