i asume that would depend on how he should be played and how exactly the user is going to play the said team
so far i’m liking modok and dormammu. does one compliment the other in terms of assists more than the other way around? If so why?
i’m also holidng out that shuma or sent will be my final character as i like em both, i want to run a projectile heavy lockdown/trap team.
expect people to choose shit based on looks…especially in a game like mvc3:scrub magnet.

Both Dorm and Trolldok are terrible up close, so you need a good AAA to keep Mag/Wolvie/Moeverine/Whoever from tearing that ass up if they get in. Morrigan and Ryu are your hookup for this, and DHCing into Shinkuu/Finishing Shower from Floating Bomb/Psionic Blaster/Hyper Schwartzelle seems like a good idea. You could also try Trish’s air trap/ground trap assist for some shenanigans.
i gotta roll will characters i like, so no sf characters or women! so i guess i’ll be usinging whoever has the best AA out of shuma and sent.
although i gotta say arthur, ammy and joe look alright too, the slowdown super looks pretty boss. so my team is looking to be formed of one of those 7. never played marvel so i dont know about team dynamics, importance of AA assist etc

I was going to try Wolverine/Taskmaster/S.Skrull at some point, seems like a rather annoying, pseudo rush down team.
Arthur/Taskmaster/Doom for me. Arthur out first, build up meter, do some damage here and there, when the time comes, DHC gold armor into taskmaster arrows and go to town.
Is it possible to play a solid keep away game in MvC3? Or is everyone bound to RTSD?
A third of the characters in the game are keep away…

Keep away will win you a lot of games. Mix in the right assist to juggle or block stun your opponent to move in at the safe time is one of the perfect game styles.
Who are these characters? I know nothing of mvc
Maybe I should reword my question… Is it actually possible to win an entire set by playing a solid defensive-zoning style, ala Dhalsim/Sagat/Guile. It seems like whatever character that you would dub as keep away are still RTSDing when they want to deal their damage. Like, I know Storm can turtle and spam safe specials, but she has a crazy mix up games up close when times get rough. I’m looking for the really polar characters, if any.

Well Even with solid keepaway it seems your gonna have to punish certain enemies with your fists once they get in.
Example: Deadpool
Grenades + gunfire to pin enemies, assists to add to that but once they get close hit them with a hard air series, otg then more gunfire to put them back in their corner.
Runaway players will have to learn how to get off some combo’s created from defense.
