I play Wolverine/Taskmaster and I’m looking for a good anchor, what would be a good third?
Akuma, Vergil, Doom, or Dante.
I think disruptor is pretty good for Wolverine. The start up is really fast and can beat out a lot of assist calls just like Akuma can. The only thing bad about is that you don’t get free conversions of berserk slash. But that is why you have Jam Session.
Overall I think it is a really good team. Maybe you should run it with Magnus second just for the easy mode infinite that he has. You can build a lot for beserker charge and magneto/dante THC.
Wolverine/Hawkeye/Akuma or Wolverine/Dormammu/Hawkeye? I want to try a Wolverine team, but I don’t want to drop Hawkeye lol.
I run Wolverine/Spencer/Hawkeye and imo it works very well. I won’t pretend that Hawkeye gives you what Akuma does, but what he does do is help Wolverine get in without destroying hitstun and damage for Logan.
There are too big problems with using him however, and maybe someone here will have advice for us both. First, Hawkeye gets mauled by Plasma beam assist, so when up against another Wolverine with Doom it can be a problem. Second, I really can’t find much in the way of incoming mix-ups with Hawkeye assist. I typically will just use Spencer assist on incoming instead, but then my damage goes to hell.
I’m currently using Wolverine/Strange/Hawkeye. Wolverine + Hawkeye arrows is pretty good, you can use it like it were Doom’s plasma beam. Strange and Hawkeye are BFFs, both assists help each other. I think you should put Dormammu since he plays similar to Strange and I’m having a lot of success with this team.
I would run Wolverine/Dormammu/Hawkeye just for the stalking flare DHC and TAC combos.

I don’t get this. How many hits is Slant shot (Which is what I am assuming you’re using) 1 hit correct? Shouldn’t it scale less than most other assist? Unless I am mistaken the earlier you are using an assist the less hits you want it to inflict, while later in the combo you want more. For example the dark hole suggestion beneath your post would scale your combo to hell if you used it in the mixup and it landed your original hit, while if you use it in the end to finish your combo ( Slide otg into dark hole X Tornado Claw Loop/ barrage Fatal claw DHC) will do great damage. Is this correct or am I incorrect?

The reason “my damage goes to hell” is because I can no longer end my combo with slant shot, slide otg, berzerker barrage into hyper, DHC into Spencer. Maybe it’s possible with Hawkeye assist to combo off the otg, but I haven’t been able to get it to work. You are correct in your understanding of scaling though. I should have clarified that my damage decreases because my combo is forced to change.
You can do tornado claw loops off arrows slide otg but the timing is picky, hence why I dropped my wolv hawkeye akuma team
Hey I’m running logan/doom/vergil and whenever I extend my combos from a ground throw using plasma the opponent will sometimes go to the other side after mmh drill claw dive kick. How should I land my combos midscreen if i can otg with vergil into fatal claw loops?

Lol that’s fine–I don’t even know how to do that. So when the daggers assist hits a crouchblocking opponent do I just jump up with Logan and press light attack? Also, can Logan OTG medium and continue a combo with daggers? I’ve tried but I can’t do it. I’m wondering if it’s my timing though. The daggers connect but I can’t combo.
I’m also having a problem with the berserker barrage cancel into fatal claw after spencer otg. I’ve seen people do it on youtube; but when I do the beserker barrage they never pop into the air at the end like they do in videos to allow me to combo fatal claw. What’s going wrong?
the answer is “yes” to both questions. what are you trying to connect after otg + daggers assist? just go for L. tornado claw.

Yeah I’m trying to get a L tornado claw but it isn’t working–I probably need to work on the timing.
And lol yeah I figured out the pop up mash thing earlier today actually. I generally don’t mash with my characters so that’s why it eluded me for a while.

With CR you have the choice of doing Fatal Claw loops in the corner OR Barrage into Fatal Claw into Power of the Nova force( forget its real name) in case you need to tag wolvie out. Your best bet to set up the unblockable is a meaty normal on an incoming opponent and hitting them with lows while they fall but you have to play with it. B slash will combo off a cross up Plus some opponents forget it hits high. I’m going to assume you will use Akuma,Doom, or Sent for anchor correct? With Akuma if you get a throw with nova in the corner ( he has great resets) you can raw tag wolverine, slide while calling tatsu and combo off the throw with unscaled damage! If you use doom or sent, just raw tag them in and continue.
