…they’re hardcore at just having fun playing games. being “Ryu” is not their prerogative.
it’s really hard for “casual” players to gel with a “hardcore/competitively-driven” player as yourself. especially one that’s opinionated as yourself. you never seem to be accountable for being an asshole sometimes.
you may seem righteous in your eyes, but you’re also driving away the ONLY people around the Metroplex that actually gives a horse’s shit about playing with you. If you drive them away, *who *are you going to play with? Yep, only choice is to move, since you’ve lost the friends you’ve made from gaming. I’m sorry, you’ll be bored out of your ass, trying to “train” Turbovec and Co.; you are a competitor, not a teacher. Go compete in a competitive city! Only reason that I would see (honestly) that you’d train these new guys is to have more SNK training dummies on…which is boring, right? No offense on the new guys, but Lukus has what…10-15 years’ experience on SNK games? yeah, you guys are training dummies.
Those Unblockable guys? same Denton guys. I’ve always found it pretty redundant, having two threads, but whatever. Same people. But I digress…
…it took me a while to understand you too!
i know it’s very nice to expose new people to SNK games but the fact of the matter is…they’re not interested in it. Blame it on American taste.
and yeah, you haven’t proven shit in Texas (where’s the placings in the Majors like TS?!?), so please try not to start shit about Texas being a shitty gaming state. That’s like a slap on the face to all the guys that are damn good at what they do. The major U.S.-played games are games you aren’t interested in - we’re sorry!
if so…if anything, move to Japan - the “Holy Land”. Or be a teacher in Mexico, the closer of the two countries, where your games are more accepted. but please stop shitting on American tastes - Acie’s tastes…you heard him, he only enjoys playing 3s at the moment; he’s still relatively fresh to the game, so he can still appreciate it more. SNK games are pretty particular…they have a very niche audience. it’s very noble that you’re trying to corral all the dedicated SNK players, but we’ll have to wait and see at NEC if they actually make the drive.
i sure hope they do, since i don’t want to see a sinking ship.
