Random Shit
Hmmm…this is some pretty random shit that I am about to post here, but a few of you may take it to heart.
Was bored at work (happens often), so went thorugh the motions of checking gmail, bank account, FACEBOOK, and then I stumbled upon my 3s group in facebook(I was bored when I created this too) and then Ryan Harvey’s aka “Fubarduck’s” live journal.
I never knew Ryan was such a good writer, but I like his spin on life, the life that most of us take for granted, and life as a gamer.
Point is…and a lot of us yearn for a definitive answer to this question on a daily basis: Are we satisfied with being the person we are today?

Lukus, it may not be my place to talk, but I think you should downgrade your life goals to just “being the best in the US”…ha ha.
But on a serious note, it seem that Ryan has given this dream of his some SERIOUS thought not to mention has already taken an active step in placing himself among top tier competitors aka travelling non-stop back to Japan!

So, I’ll still play, but since there aren’t enough players in America to play whenever I feel like it I think I’ll be able to have both lives again. Like I said, I love the fighting game world, but I am ready to have my other life back when I go home.
Additionally, if I decide I want to go back to the fighting game lifestyle, I can always find a way back to Japan. Maybe if I get really rich in the US somehow I can just be a wealthy, unemployed guy and play games all day in Japan. Moving back to Japan would be a big deal, though, so after I’m settled back into the US for another year or so I’m going to explore my options again and see which path best suits my life. I don’t even know right now which one I want to choose and live. That’s why I want to think about it a lot back home.
Well, now that I got all that out maybe I can sleep for just a bit before class . . . "
