I found Advent Children to be anti-climactic; a rushed job, IMO. Pretty, but little substance…too much to tell, and so little time.

And if u think about it, there is something like 4-5 fight scenes. Sure, the Cloud/ Sifferwhatever fight wasnt as good as it could have been, but the battle on the bikes w/ Cloud against those 2 lacky dudes in the tunnel (fuckin cloud did that crazy summersalt back flip kick twist off his bike and then sliced that other bike in TWO!!!) Man, straight up…I fell out the seat I was sitting in when I saw that…1st time I EVER got owned from a fighting scene in a movie…not even the Matrix did that shit to me, and I love the Matrix.

The phuk is because I literally have one penny in my bank account. ONE PENNY.
Advent children was a huge letdown for me. The sword fights had no sense of danger to them. After a while I realized that nobody was going to even get a little nick on the arm until the big Seph VS Cloud battle. The motorcycles seemed too lite and slide happy–no sense of weight or momentum–same as the sword fights. Also, the support characters where pretty pathetic, esp. when they fought the big monster at the end–all their attacks just bounced off! Weak. The exeption would be Tifa’s brawl but if I remember correctly neither of them really got hurt and they just ran off or something. LAME. Blegh. It looked pretty, but the execution was far from epic. The Kingdom Hearts II intro impressed me more that that whole movie.
And an ending without Cloud cheating and using Knights of the Round or Ultimate Weapon to beat Seph is just bullshit. Because there’s no way Cloud could win any other way.
Pfft. Super Mario Bros. The Motion Picture is CLEARLY the best game to movie translation. But idunno, I think I saw Bloodrayne at Blockbuster, and I hear it has titties. AFAIK it’s the only game based movie that has titties, so it may automatically top all other game based movies.
