Dang so Dark Geese you ain’t down for Houston no more ?

How the tides have changed!

Well to answer your question you can encode VHS to a computer vile with certian types of hardware. there is hardware available from a company called Dazzle that will cost you as little as 50 bucks to 200 bucks. It is very simple and easy to use. Especially if you have a new computer. After you capture the video to your computer just upload it to you tube and your good to go. If you have more questions on this just pm me. I doubt the guys here want to start a tech convo they rather talking about digitally seeing who is the best at beating up poeple o.O LoL

I have a Dazzle and all the stuff to upload and edit videos.

45 bux.

Since DG is out of town this week, I’m having gaming at my place if anyone is interested. The only downer is that it’s in McKinney/Frisco. Its an easy drive from Denton, but its still a little bit away. Anyways, if you’re interested in coming out Friday for some HnK, 3s, KoF or whatever, just let me know.

eigger check your pms

Acie, there will be games tonight as usual.

When I come back from EVO East then I’ll be getting this stuff to my CPU, for now I gotta get ready for Triad Showdown III in North Carolina May 5th for KOFXI and NGBC and since I am there I am sure SieClayton and crew will upload the stuff, but after EVO East the Major yeah Im gonna need help uploading that shit…

Well, I guess I’m not going to Showdown. =/
Looks like nobody is really going anyways.

im down wheres it at in mckinney/frisco

Acie, what gague are the plugs in your ears?

See…this is why this thread gets gayed up. Because of you and stooges like you posting these non RENEGADE kosher posts. Why don’t you go start a “I like sticking tubes in my ear” thread and see how many gay fucks respond. :cybot:

P.S. In this thread we call them “GUAGE”

only 2.

So, seeing as how HnK has me by the nuts, I’ve decided to pick up Guilty Gear (again, even though I never really “played” in the past) accordingly. I’m going to be playing Jam. On the Marvel thing though, I just don’t feel that I can catch up. Even sitting in training mode and reading combos is kind of beyond me. The game is on too high of a level to get on it at this point. I’d rather stick to newer games. It does make me wish I was in the hay-day of Marvel. After reading the “first team you used” thread, I wanted to shit. It sounded like way too much fun back then. I guess it’s strictly OG. I’ll stick to newer games. :wasted: Also, the whole Clockw0rk thing crushed my spirit from even afar  The game is too slick for wonderbread. My goal is to not just enjoy playing games but to actually find a game I can excel at. Marvel has its players, done deal. However, I think I’ve actually found my niche in gaming though and its called ArcSystems. I know everyone thinks I’m fickle. Admittedly, I’ve been through quite a few phases. I’ve been through the Guilty Gear thing before but was thrown off having just entered the competitive gaming community (3rd Strike yall.) I went through the XI phase, which I don’t regret because the games in #502 were great. I don’t know, I guess I’m trying to say that I want to take it to a higher level and actually devote the time it takes to a game in order to win a tournament. I’d like to take at least one before my gaming days are up. I’m on a year and 8 months of gaming and I feel that I’ve caught up to people considerably (even though I still pull some scrubby shit on the 3s.) I’m about ready to beat down some fools. I may be jobless and homeless in the next year or so but all I need is a can of manwich, $8 whiskey, and an arcade stick. I’m drunk and ready to beast.

man you can learn anything… just stick to marvel. you barely touched that game enough to even try it. just ask everyone like toan and eddy and linh… i used to be so much trash on that game. but what like 6 months and bam here i am and im still getting better (i think). i just gotta beef up my magz and resets and execution.

ive seen you go from nothing in 3s to really good. as i went to trash on that game.
and that was over a long period of time and that game is very slow pace and has a small learning curve… its all just parries and feeling of the game. there isnt alot of mixup and its a pretty slow paced game.

even that king of fighters games. you never played those back then… heck as i see it your a noob in all games respects. you didnt play these back in the day when they came out like most of us, so thats a reason your learning curve is there. but i mean shit i dont play kof but i seen you play that game and you started from nowhere amd your pretty decent.

and saying there is too many top players in marvel is bs… cuz isnt that the point is there are people to play… as i recall there was a HUGE gathering at snf last weekend. and that wasnt even all the people that play it. shit eddy, oj, alan, jason, jacob, jermaine, roy, and others werent even there to make it bigger. which is a good point cuz atleast you will have people to play with.

i dont see this HNK game lasting long… i like playing it and is FUN but i dont see it becomming very competetive because it will prolly die like that tenka game did and others in a few months.

shit i wish ggxx had as many players in the dfw area as mvc2 does. it make me want to play it even more. i mean shit i been trying to pick it back up and i did have some fun last weekend and i like to see how white rice and phong did a good job picking it up. that makes it fun with more players… so you should get serious on it too since we play that and theres always someone at snf to play it with… shit i even taught eddy some tricks and hopefully he will stay on it.

and you cant just stick to newer games… cuz dang man everygame is like a new game to someone that hasnt played it… only thing that is lucky is you get resources to look at for reference… i never had videos for ggxx back in the day altho i wish i had.

on another note… is anyone going to akon and needing a room.? i have a exec suite with 3 other people for all 3 days and would like to make it a bit cheaper for everyone with another person maybe 2.
i know last year eddy asked me but my friend was like no but this year i dont care… im low on moneys and want to make it cheaper and i dont see how that hurts anyone. just some one has to sleep on the floor or couch with a lot of pillows and sleeping bags or something.

who cares?

Tenka died for more reasons than the above listed, plus this area aint known for SNK anyways, thats a fact, something that shall change the nation over…Dont know if Dallas will change but others will/have already!!!

Look at everyones favorite game to trash-NGBC, yeah Dallas might continue to trash it or not, but many others are seeing the beauty of it…all it takes is the right promotional arm… and it can stay afloat or become popular.

In summary guys Acie is saying-

#1- He thinks he’s found his niche
#2- He’s tossed his casual gaming days aside and is ready to shoot for winning a tournament (Major or not I dont know)

After a while you realize casual gaming can only get you so far…if you have any desire for more…some don’t have a desire for more I realize, and despite circumstances wit work, school etc, I’ve realized that desire is the #1 thing, because even when I was in the worst of the worst situations, my desire to be where I am now and do what I do now kept me going and kept me doing things MY WAY and NOT selling out…but I knew Acie had it a long time ago …as he knows…hence its time Acie…to cast the casual shadow aside 4 good and fully embrace the dark, competitive bloodthirsty side!!!

Good shit acie. We renegades in the Funky Town chapter call your new attitude

                                            "NO HOLDS BARD"!!!!!

But dont get it twisted, its still cool if you want to have a casual approach towards gamin…there is alot of O.G.s here in DF-Scrub that are beastly and play, like, once a month or only in tourneys (2D, PMD, JW, etc). Speakin from experience, I can say its hella tough bringin not only your skillz, but your mind state, and finances up to the point that will lead you to High Level Play. Yet, if you focus, its achieve able.

Also…’'ITS ABOUT TIME U FUCKIIN STARTED PLAYIN GUILTTYY AGAIN""!!!

Was Walmart out of Midol? Tony always trying to give the White Rice a hard time.

Thx Acie. How much did that hurt. It hurt like a bitch just going from a 16 to a 10. And I totally agree with you on the wanting to find a game you can excel at. I thought I was a badass at Project Justice til I met all the SRK ppl and found out how broken it is and its not even fun to me now. Now I have nothing. I am ok at 3s, T5, GG, and VF but I’m not good at anything. I really enjoy playing all of them though so if some day from playing so much I become good, awesome. If not oh well I still have a good time.

What I really think about the fighting game scene?

I think fighting games really suck. Everyone that plays them are **losers **and need a damn life!!:wonder: LoL!

Okay now I have your attention read my short story and find out what I think.:lovin:

I have always been captivated by arcades. I am now at the age of 28 and I still remember my father taking me to arcades when I was only 4 years old. It was something magical then, and even today it is a magical experience if you can even find a standing arcade anymore. I have been playing arcade games off and on throughout my life. When I moved to Dallas, Texas I lived within walking distance of a arcade in a mall. So I started to attend it quite often. There is this game called Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (MVC2), that always won over all my quarters. I was not the best at the game. I enjoy the marvel universe, thus the reason I spent so much time playing it. I soon bought it for the PS2 for my home us. I played MVC2 at home for a few months, but unfortunately I started doing crack. No not real crack. Something far worse than real crack. I am talking about Everquest (evercrack as reformed crackheads call it LoL). Anyways the Evercrack story is a story for another time. Let me just say that game took my life over for almost 3 years, and caused me to sell my copy of MVC2.

Fast forward to June of 2006. I was back into MVC2 in the arcades, but held no desire to play it at home. I played against many people that would be considered scrubby or noobs. They were good for what they knew and hell I can’t lie I barely won many games. I heard about a arcade that was about 30 minutes from where I lived where some knowledgeable people would play MVC2. I decided to make the journey there one day, alone. Understand this fighting games are always more fun when you play them with others. But this time I decided to go see if what I heard was true and to see if I could learn something.

I will never forget walking up to the MVC2 machine and putting in my tokens. This guy was sitting on a stool. He just got through playing against this other guy that was sitting in a small brown chair. I thought to myself they both looked very relaxed. I started thinking I could win this… I thought they looked like the noobs I was used to being around. I picked my favorite team of Iceman, Cable, T. Bone (Which by the way is a decent team but if you play this game you know Iceman is a waste of time. This should show you the knowledge I knew then!). A few seconds later, after I saw 85 left on the game clock that starts at 99, I was owned. I have never gotten my ass beat so bad! I was seeing play that I had never seen. I played a few more matches which I sweated out and got my ass handed to me! After my ass beating the guy in the stool turned to me with a smile and said “Don’t be mad man. You did pretty good, but you might want to try this…” He went on to explain some basic things to me. Most of what he said went in one ear and out the other. This was my first introduction to high level play, and well a good friend that I still have to this day.

Now in April 2007 I am still a scrub and the biggest noob around the fighting game scene. I am very casual about my play. On the other hand the folks that play fighting games competitively live, eat, sleep, and die for fighting games. I spend maybe about 5 hours a month in training mode playing MVC2 (I aquired it for the dreamcast this time around). The average serious play probably spends at a minimun of 5 hours a DAY playing fighting games. That is just a tiny idea of what these guys do to be so good at what they do. If I didn’t have a girlfriend and other things on my plate I would want to do exactly the same. I have a deep respect for what they do.

johnny matrix has gotten alot better since 6 months ago, and the funny thing is he just plays it. I really dont think he likes marvel more than he does GGXXX but the kid is improving in both games.
