Im pretty sure im over this game, i just cant get my head around it i lost to a blanka today that did NOTHING BUT blanka balls back to back to back. iuno maybe this game just isnt for me i guess
lol nick just crouching jab as fast as you can with ken or ryu. he’ll try to slide instead and thats when you block then own him.

Blanka is the one that gave me the most trouble when I was using seth and with ryu, I try to make them lose their charge, if you can move back a full screen then you can throw a hadoken and dash forward, and do straight up diagonal jumps, eventually you’ll know which balls will cross up and you can have a good chance of telling when a exball will go thru your fireball.
all in all I just don’t think you’re playing the game enough time, don’t make a rash decision. When ni8wing beat me down 150 games straight, the other night, I was giving up on the last parts of the rounds, I wanted to throw my joystick out the window, etc but I hanged in there. and didn’t quit ;p
Argh perhaps its just the online play thats kicking my ass, i dont think im actually that bad at the game but i know for a fact that im not nearly as good.

actually nick your pretty decent. you just have to work on your fundamentals more, just like the rest of us. fundamentals is what streetfighter is all about, when i beat you it was because i was reading your decision making, your actually better than me at this game, but you still have that mental block that you think you can just rush me down randomly like this is SC. it doesnt work that way. you have to be “INCONTROL” of your decision making process at all times. when i see you getting impatient, i win easier. when i see you turtling 'cause of fear, i win easier. cause at that point i dont need to predict what your going to do. any predictable aggressive action = gets dp’d easily. any predictable defensive action = i walk you into the corner or throw you easily…
since you like ken and ryu so much i suggest you learn to abuse there cr.mk, that move is truly retarded with its overall stats: range,speed, hits low, cancelable. its one of the best pokes in the game. and is very safe cause even if someone jumps over it you can still uppercut them when you recover. uppercutting people that jump at you more consistently is something that you should develop as well. plus hitconfirming cr.lk>cr.lp xx fierce shoryu is also a staple with both characters. once you’ve learned those 3 things with ryu, learn to use fa. and then also learn to ultra/super after your aa uppercut trades or a jab one hits early.
once you get that down, your good to go. also dont really expect to beast at this game like how you beast at sc… theres alot more people playing this game (which means a bigger pool of talent) plus, this game is DESIGNED for people not to run each other over. which is where mental toughness comes in so you can pull out the win in close or losing rounds.
you can do it, your a great player, you just need to come with me to ai sometime and feel what its like to play peiople that are REALLY good at this game, you wont win… but it will help you start to see what this game is like when played at high levels and you will improve DRASTICALLY… QUICKLY which is more than you could say from playing online or just against the casual players that we got around here… you need to see every characters take on the game and realize how matchups affect your character.
and yes, online is bad.

the reason why conk and i played at my house so much is cause both of us had/ have lots of free time, i’m available to play whenever on short notice to boot… just of course call or pm before coming so i can see whether the wifeys got plans or not.
