Team League for TvC online

So I hear there’s a ptx fan club over there…

hahahahaha. There actually is. AKA is the president.

I did not know if this has already been talked about or not but, to note that wired connection will help, if not negate all lag/button input delays, something we all should all take into consideration. Seeing as some of us might not be able to do this for all kinds of reasons,( cables are not all of too long and the longer you need them the more expensive they are) we should really help one another out in trying to make the online the best it can be for us.

Just something else to think about along with this Team League I am thinking about making for the (online) TvC scene. If proven to be that much better as it states in this article then I might make it mandatory for all league matches since I really wanted to make this a pay to play league and if something as simple as a wired connection will make it run all the more smooth then I am all for it.

Just a note also, “Because of the games huge level of success, we wanted to know if Capcom had any intentions of bringing the game out on other consoles in the future, and they explicitly stated they would not.” TvC is a human boi Mr. Jackson so XBox360 and PS3 stop trying to touch it.

Well after reading that article I decided to get the USB Network Adapter and do some play testing with my brother. I just recieved all three of them. Shown here: http://vpgames.com/p-894-wii-nyko-net-connect-lan-network-ethernet-adapter-for-nintendo-wii.aspx

The site, vpgames.com has the item in stock and at a good price. You can find them for less on ebay,(http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQitemZ370269291647) That is a great deal right there. *(note that auction is for a generic one, not one made by nyko for nintendo wii.) I think I might just buy a couple(like 7 or 10 nyko ones) and if they work so much better like the article said then I can sell them with the entrance fee to the league.

This site *(vpgames.com) also has a rear fan for the Wii’s processor and a really cool docking station for the wii that I am alos picking up.

If anyone is willing to do online play testing when the game comes out just let me know.

Side note some ebay auctions sell it for 32.95 free shipping. Don’t get taken by ebay, if you can not find it cheap on ebay, get it from that site.

Since other topics are getting bumped I guess I will bump this one as well. If there is a region that has a team together and would like to help play test this game online, just pm me or post up here and I will send you the adapter and if you need a cable then I might be able to get one mailed to your house as well.

Yes I know it seems like I am doing too much but I know there are scenes out there. Mid-West… Chicago or Il in general I know shiki is from naperville. West coast. I know we all know of Royal and ll,nd doing their thing. If you have 3+people I will send it to you. I know cabels are like 5 dollars for 50ft. plus like $6 at the most for shipping. Maybe we can go half on it or something.

Some one let me know tho cuz dammit I am getting to hype over this game!!

I will not let this die!

That and check the first post, it has been changed.

I am all for this. Please guys lets make this happen.

i think me and my friends are down. we’ve been having CGOH casuals every friday night since last summer, about 5 of us play and everyone else just watches. socal!

A pay to play league…

…Online**?**

Man I can understand venue fees and stuff for people going to physical locations but trying to charge to play people online is just plain grimy.

Dude shut the fuck up! XBOX live is grimey? Cuz they are making mad loot and not very many are getting better by the large numbers. It is getting more people to be competieve. Your logic sucks. When I was growing up, I would go to Boomers/Plaace Park/Tilt, every weekend. Now to drive me there and to let me play it would cost them 35 dollars for the whole weekend of gaming. You have to pay to get better. I am not saying that this needs to be pay to play, but I am saying that I want this league to help me as well as others that are actually trying to reach the next level for this game. Money is what draws the line for the next level. If you start to accept that early then you will not have a hurdle to get over.

If this actually works, by the time it kicks off there wil be a lot of scrubs that will get better because of all of the different styles they can p0lay each week. After we make those scrubs better, there will be a fall off for those who still want to push and get better, and those that were only in it as the next big thing. That is when I would add the fee for the league.

Shit, it is not like I would not put up money to get people involved, because I know that it costs to get better. If you can not travel then you have to find a “REAL” way to improve your skills. Online willl only help if you have a system that helps to push it towards a Tourney setting enviroment. Meaning you have to pay to play.

I really get tired of explaning simple things to stupid people. Iduno

As a matter of fact… check the first post people. Changed for this man right here

So what you are saying is online training sessions and then an online league, still as far as I know isn’t a tourney environment lagless face to face play that people actualy gather to do?

I always took it for granted that the “push to get better” involves traveling to play people face to face and commiting the time to go to events and the money was mainly there to add hype and give people incentive to travel.

I’m not saying that everyone needs to travel all the time because I know what it’s like to be in an area with no scene, but I think the money that would be spent on “online leagues” would be far better saved for traveling to an actual gathering.

And besides the differnce between XBL and you is that Microsoft own and run the game servers.

Edit: After reviewing the origional post it does seem that your intentions are better then I initialy expected, but it still seems rather daft to expect people to put money down over online play, especialy when it’s not even up to GGPO standards.

im confused, and i have read the first post twice. lol. so your trying to setup an online tourney scene where people pay to play, and get paid out for winning.

I don’t understand what some of you don’t get. I guess if it’s not the 360 or PS3…it’s a joke?!?

Ding ding ding! I do believe that’s what he is getting at.

Anyone else here of “GameBattles”. How do you think Major League Gaming does MOST of there tournaments???

^ first of all, calm down. i been playing tvc since day one, when everyone was saying fuck that game on the wii, i aint importing or homebrewing shit. dont assume you know shit about anyone here. i was just for some reason confused by the whole league thing. i just woke up and was not processing info. lol!

anyways, i think its cool. cant say i would pay to play online tournies because of the nature of online matches. i would be pretty annoyed to even spend 5 dollars on something that could potentially suck because some wii nerd wants to win so badly he is purposefully lagging matches for his benefit. but depending on how decent it is on good connections, hardwired, i cant say it would be too bad an idea. marvel with good low ping matches is good shit, and there arent any characters in this game that move as fast as mags that would be impossible to defend against online.

eh, i dont know, see how things go once everyone jumps online and we work out the kinks. could be good shit, and you know money always attracts people, but again, how many people might be deceitful online just to win some money.

If the online is decent, I’d be up for online tourneys with MAYBE a $1-$3 entry fee, but in all likelihood the online will not be good enough. Even if you average game is low/no lag, you still have to worry about a bunch of other shit.

There will be enough good people to practice with either way.

Just say you are sorry and stupid and be done with this thread. it is simple, what I want to do is bigger than your little head can even seem to handle. Just bow out now, and know I said XBOX Live would be grimey because they are doing what I am trying to do but they have no scene of serious players. People are not even getting better. In this they would be pushed to get better. NO randoms at all, just the TvC:UAS scene.

I really do not casuals at all. I have seen what it has done to SF$ and I do not like it at all. That is just how I feel, so, really no need for you to post here either.

Give this man a cookie!!! I knew I was going to like you!! I also like the stick you have up for grabs in that online Tourney. (Where did you get the idea? lol) I mean really people, we need to see that TvC is for the Wii. Do you know what that means? Anything we build will have to be our own. Like smash and MSC. We have got to make noise in our own way so people stop saying stupid shit like, well it is a good fighter, but it is on the Wii. This is how we do that.

I am serious about this only because I am tired of leggin around 2 systems and 4 sticks and 2 converters for people to play a game once and say the same old thing.

LAN CENTER

WIRED CONNECTION

$750

I know it may sound weird but I am serious. That is all the info I will need on your team to enter you. There is no need to lie because we all want the same thing right? To get better! My money is only the driving force behind all of this. Someone will have the balls to level up, others will sit back and talk mindless shit like Stan is not Microsoft so there is no reason to even try it out. Just look at it like this, if EVO do not announce TvC:UAS at their tourney, then we will have 1 tourney this year with TvC in it, and that is GAMME, who already have it announced. No one is going to give it a chance, hell it seems like even the scene will not give it a chance.

I will still try!

Ayje sent me a very good pm and now I will post this for people to understand that pay to play online does work for the wii. This is BRAWL ONLINE PEOPLE. For $750 for third place. A match is on luigui mansion, a very laggy stage online for brawl. These people paid to play online Brawl, ONLINE BRWAL!!! When your game is on the Wii you have to do anything and everything to make it work. I have that hope for this game as well.
