This coming from a person who’s apparently complaining about manners? lol
For those who don’t know this guy has been sending me messages over Steam for the last week or two randomly asking me to play with him…
So I finally booted up XP and got a few ranked matches in to test things before I started hitting people up for matches - I ran into an issue… I’m not certain what could be causing it, but there were some major, major hiccups when I played random folks online (really, really horrific lag that seemed to “freeze” everything for a full minute at times). 
I thought it might have been (and still could be) my net, but it was running smooth in everything else, and I’d played AE on 360 without issue. That said, I did notice that some of the people I played against had a fluctuating quality rating (it’d say E, then A).
Going to try sneaking on here and there during the week, but I’m hoping its not an issue with my computer that’ll keep me from playing with you fine folks. Benchmark gives me an A, it’s a Macbook Pro, so I don’t think it’s that.
Do you get the freezing in offline too ? If so go put RenderingThread=off in the .ini file. (can’t be more precise as I’m not at home right now). Make sure you have fixed framerate in the options too. But by the look of this, it looks like the problem comes from the connection. We can test it together if you want so you won’t have to worry about winning and loosing a ranked match.
No freezing offline (although I do get this odd screen flashing that pops up every once in a while).

I wasn’t too worried about the ranked matches (my “main” account is on XBL), was more worried it might be an issue with my computer.

Hello and welcome ! Unfortunately, you are the first asian in the group. It would be nice to play with you but I’m afraid the connection will frustrate both of us and we will end up fooling around. You could play with Bokchoy, EviL and Fatalderp (steam ids), they are australian and i guess the connection with them won’t be so bad.

Yup, your right about that. Was doing damn bad just nw due to the lag, none of my moves were executing properly.

It’s unfortunate that PC 2012 is coming out in January-March =( I’ll be climbing the charts on XBL in the mean time I guess =(

Does anyone find there to be a difference in timing when switching between PC and 360? I kept dropping combos I consistently get on PC when playing with friends on console not sure if it’s just me though.
PC-360 should be same amount of delay (PSN a bit more). Maybe your PC monitor has a different amount of input lag than the TV screen of your 360?
That could be it. I’m using an older Acer x223W monitor and when I go out playing with friends at local casuals they use the EVO ASUS monitors.

I’ve been on and off AE PC but just seem to always miss people… Going to try to get time in on weekends. Was on a good bit the week I was in MI, and I have a better connection now as well.

Welcome insje and Guttermouth, there are usually games every evening (afaik as I’m online from this moment). All you have to do is to check the chatroom and ask is someone is up. Don’t forget to enable the beeps so you don’t miss the answers. If you are american and looking for good connections, unfortunatly there is a lack of american sessions but you can count on Darkphyre and Thekerb to play games.
I’m open to suggestion for others sessions or events, send me a message and I will plan something more than the regular sunday sessions.
