We might get a whole bunch of players… who knows. I know a lot of people play it… I don’t know how many will join a tournament, but we’ll see.
Yeah…VF isn’t one of those games that’s getting tourneys held for it all over the US. Least not that I’ve heard. It just came out on the 360 like what…a few months ago. I just bought a 360 like on New Year’s day so that’s the only reason I’ve even begun to play it. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t even have entered a tourney for it. Not everyone has next gen systems to practice the game on any ways. At least the few arcades that are still around usually have Tekken machines. Finding a VF machine is next to impossible. Now that I have the game…it reminds me why I loved to play my Saturn back in the day. VF5 is an incredible game.
VF won’t have a large showing because the community itself is very small in the US.
I’ve always wanted to get into 3d fighters starting with Tekken 5… I was willing to buy a ps3 for DR but I heard it was garbage online, then I heard about how well VF ran on 360 so I got one and have been playing it for a couple of months now.
It’s probably one of the most popular fighting games in JP though and take my word for it, It’s a really technical game. Deepest fighter I’ve ever played.
I really enjoy it a lot, and I wish i could travel to compete in tournaments, but right now it’s not an option.
Definitely gonna try to make it down to MA for SF4 though, gotta teach LD a lesson.

there about 15-20 vf players in nyc dedicated, sc va and even de have players that are willing to travel. People were sitting and waiting to see if it would happen

These “people” should have at least tried to post. It’s just not something I even knew people played seriously in the area. Look forward to a good turnout then. Really hope the game takes off and doesn’t get overshadowed by Tekken 6 (which in the US…is almost inevitable). Let’s find a way to keep the scene strong.

you should, the game is good there is no reason to not play. Shit you can look on youtube and just search for vf5 and sort it by date and you will see new videos added every other hour from japan
