Hmm yeah too bad it’s not still up. We should get everyone to pitch in for an SRK server, having it private is cheaper but it never gets used so nobody logs in, it’s a bad cycle
Totally hopping on this tonight, always wanted to play it. 
did they make a ton of changes to the game? i havent played in years
Each class has tons of new weapons and combinations and even abilities (like the pyro reflect) and theres even new game modes like Payload, so yes the game is drastically different. It even has hats!
Valve even made a fancy page dedicated to each recent major update.

My favorite update has gotta be the Scout’s. STUN BALLS EVERYWHERE. Not even ubers were safe lol.

I have sinked hundreds of hours to this game. I used to love it, but then i got frustrated because one class is way more important compared to all the rest. Medic. Medics win games, and the lack of medics loses games.
Give something cool to Engineer with this update and i’ll start playing again.
As someone who mains soldier, lemme just say, fuck the new backburner.

Oh, and the new replay function is awesome. You can save replays of your last life as long as the server supports it (all the ones I posted do), then upload them to youtube or export them. Here’s the last little movie I made with it:

I love the replay function, though. Anytime something stupid happens, you can capture it.

I help manage/admin the ArsClan game servers … our TF2 server is at sasha.arsclan.net … pretty much vanilla server. No crazy mods or maps. Not as active a server as some of the bigger community names but we usually have something going nightly. Feel free to join up on the forums and say hi, too … it’s not actually a “clan” so new blood is always welcome to drop in.

So wait… Do the Wee Booties replace the grenade launcher? If it replaced the melee slot that would be silly and the secondary slot would mean you can’t have the shield equipped.
It replaces the secondary probably, just like the soldier; that happens to be the demo grenade launcher. Even thought 1 is the hotkey for it, it’s considered his secondary, which yes would make him an all melee beast
