Team Control

Okay, I guess we need bittorrent to get the video from BKD. I ain’t downloading that for anthony’s video which is average at best.

edit: the truth is, courtney was right about UCI resnet not allowing any file sharing. My download speed was approximately 0.00(maybe 1) kilobytes per second. I mean, bittorrent just showed zero but it did seem to have downloaded about 150 kilobytes after a half hour or so of waiting.

So If I’m going to get myself this video, someone’s going to have to send it to me directly

i feel like going to family fun tomorrow…to watch…

anyone who’s going has extra room and is willing to give me a ride, please PM me…

thanks

I, too, would like to go, if just to watch. If I’m needed as a 5th person then I’ll enter, but if anyone else is interested in competing then I don’t mind sitting this one out and watching.

Jesus H. Christ, is it true that fiend beat pyrolee with all those “skills” I saw in the videos? At this rate, I’m going to go down in history as the only elena player to NOT defeat him.

Yes, combofiend beat him with his patented “throw, throw, throw, throw, stand short, low strong xx Brave Dance!”

One mooooore thing: Sorry I played so shitty.

One mooooore thing: Who is it that we played the first round? I.e. the Ken that gave me a beatdown?

One mooooore thing: Anthony, has anyone paid you the monies for the TC bandwidth/webspace? I was meaning to ask you/give you money yesterday, but I forgot.

heya! congrats to TC for getting 5th on sunday. Just watching was a good experience for me. Yeah, i was as surprised as everyone when 'Fiend threw pyro litterally like 4 or 5 times in a row on wakeup. It was very funny.

P.S. Marcus, use standing RH more.

P.S.S I’m good w/ elena too. I almost beat marcus, too bad spinning beat sucks.

Eliot, you officially have no right to bad mouth or make sarcastic remarks about either Combo’s or Marcus’ Elenas cos they’re way better than yours. Want some reasons? I’ll give you one: THEY DONT USE SPINNING BEAT!

Cheers.

Spinning beat is hella good. Don’t try to pretend bravedance is all powerful, mr. late cancel low strong at max range and having brave dance NOT connect (anthony, even though I’ve seen marcus do this a couple times). In the same situation, spinning beat will connect.

Secondly, spinning beat has less damage reduction off the mallet smash cancel.

Thirdly, though it may not be able to reverse a sweep at MAX range it can punish just about everything else.

So how did you guys do anyway?

That’s all nice and cute, Eliot. But when it comes down to it, Brave Dance does ALOT more damage, you ninny! Dude, just stop it with your scrubby Elena, geez.

Cheers.

Dude, your mom does a lot more damage. What? I’m just complementing her skill in the martial arts.

Anyways, you’re right about the scrubby elena. As of today, I’m committed to seiei enbu yang.

Personally I don’t think brave dance is any better than spinning beat. They’re both great supers in my opinion.

Of course that’s irrelevant, because it’s really all about healing. I’ve been preaching that shit since both of you were watching Saturday morning cartoons in your underoos.

I mean HEALING, not hearing

Why don’t you faggots settle this at Camelot on thursday night?

seerhc.

a battle, eh? eliot, check your pm’s kuz it’ll contain info about anthony’s weaknesses.

on a side note the new 20 dollar bills owns joo. it’s basically counterfeit proof.

Anthony: I’m sure me and Nate are down for a little 3S function; it’ll break up the monotony of me losing to Oro and Alex at Camelot on Thursday nights. So, what are the details? Who? Where? When?

Well, Marvin and I were planning on going to Camelot for a little bit tonight. Maybe afterwards we can get in some games.

Cheers.

I have a question, or a conundrum, if you will, to propose for fellow YBSers or any others willing to give some input. I’m speaking from the point of playing 3S on our ZZ machine; if you’re about to get perfected (and not lose the entire match), is it better to burn some EX meter to do some smidgen of chip damage to your opponent and prevent the perfect or is it smarter to just take the perfect and save the meter up for use in the next round? I’ve been placed in this predicament more than a couple of times and more often than not I forgo using EX to do some chip, get perfected, and just write it off as extra ammo for me in the next round.

That’s the smart thing to do. In many of the videos you may have watched on denjinvideo.com, or some of david’s wild japanese clips, there are a couple games where one of the players, sometimes even the first round, gets perfected, but comes back to win the match. Nobody will care whether you get perfected if you win the match, or at least they will until they lose the match against the same person.

Plus, there’s no guarantee that doing some ex move is going to prevent them from parrying/dodging it all.

Of course, this isn’t in a tournament, this is only on the SZ machine. So if you’re pretty confident that the round is a fluke I guess you could burn some meter in an effort to prevent that blemish, but only assholes would mumble about that kind of thing. Everyone gets perfected once in a while.

Off-Topic Note: Microsoft’s alleged “Security” updates are doing exactly shit for my computer. Okay, well, I guess it gets infected LESS than ten times a day now, more like two or three, but it’s the same goddamned virus! I’m going to disconnect my computer one of these days and see if anything happens. If no virus pops up, I’m going to send an email to campus village housing with such flames they’ll think it’s a counter-strike invasion.

That’s me!

LOL at your new AV Eliot or “LOL at you’re knew Ave.”

I’d rather save the meter. I have had a couple games where we both did a perfect on each other. It doesn’t mean anything so try to play smart and save the meter.
