ChrisG: Damn no computer is a hassle huh? Heh if you aren’t gonna go to Evo this year maybe you can use the money for the plane ticket to buy a new computer (those cheapo Gateways are what – $500 nowadays? Sheesh). As far as I know, it’ll just be HawaiianRyan and I with Erikbuild travelling up there on his own (correct me if I’m wrong). If you want, you can join us in splitting the cost for hotel room and car. Next time I’ll be at FF will be Friday 7 to around 10 as usual. Also, if you want to go to Hawaiian Brians this Friday night I can give you a ride back home afterwards – just tell me before Friday.
HawaiianRyan: I’ll need to talk to you about the hotel room and car so don’t cut me a check just yet. Looking at the flight times I realize we arrive at 11:30 at night. I was gonna ask PSX2000 or my mom for a ride and room & board for us (as long as it’s not too many people coming along) so we can save an extra $150 or so on one night at the hotel and for one day with the car. But before I make a decision, of course, I’ll have to run the options by you.

To anybody in particular: I’m trying to make my dad a custom joystick for playing some old games (he bought one of those Namco Classics Collections for the Playstation). I was gonna get him those old-school 4-way joysticks from Happ and hook it up to a psx controller PCB but the problem is getting and cutting wood for the joystick cabinet. Last time I used a saw was in 8th grade and right now I don’t know anybody with the tools or the inclination to let me fuck around with their tools. If anybody has the time to help me get and cut wood properly it’d be much appreciated. If anybody would be especially nice to cut the wood for me and assemble the cabinet (I’ll pay for the parts) I’d very much appreciate it and also treat that person to many beers if they want.
Speaking of joysticks, what about the p360s? If it’s too much hassle to put them in at FF, I don’t mind refunding the people who donated money in exchange for the p360s back. I have a MAS that could use a p360 . . . heh heh.

TO all Pearlridge players: I was wondering if Hawaiian Brians were to hold a tournament for MVC 2. Would you guys participate? Seriously do you guys think we can reach a player cap of 32 players?
32 is kinda far-fetched, possibly 24 but 32 would need the combination of all fun factorys on this island and people from windward tilt as well. would be hella nice thou!
PUreELite: 24 eh? Hmmm. sounds like a pretty good working idea. If we were able to gather up 24 players. Do you think it would be better to have them all play in one bracket with byes and everything or have them play in three brackets with no byes. And have the winners of the brackets play each other and tally up the wins and losses of those matches to figure out the winner. I would need suggestions from the players before I can ask Kent to do something. I have to have it really organized before I can send it to him. Do you think playing one who bracket to the end, then move on to the next second 8 man bracket would be better…and have a break then the final round robin.
Sometimes waiting for your match without having any idea of how soon or how far it’s going to be, is an inconvience.
Yeah thats kind of a stretch (32). Honestly I think 24 is a bit of a stretch too I mean just think of the people themselves who must show up. The thing is that although there are a lot of gamers, not all of them play mvc2. Here’s a list of people who I think would be interested from just blunt members: GN, PE, WHO, EB, Samo, IIIIIII, Chrisg, Spliff. Okay now lets just say that rob and kevin show up also. Thats about ten. Now I would add the peeps that I saw at the venus tourney(I figure that I add these guys since I know that they would travel for a tourney). They include: Cro, Great One, Noskeelz, Luke, MightyK, Djb13, and Yoshimon. So thats eighteen peeps right there including me. Add in team mililani thats twenty. Then there are the others who I’ve seen at tourneys once in a while(I’d say about five peeps.) Now if all these people entered, then you’d be about 5-8 short for the 32. Now for all this to work. Almost all of the people mentioned above need to show up. Thats the hard part. Taking into account things like djb13 is leaving, GN (busy pimpin’), and Who workin are serious things one must consider. Now this would all be void if we could get some kaneohe players to come down. Anyways, there’s no harm in trying right. As long as you have the money in advance I’m guessing there won’t be a problem.
As for the brackets, the idea of making three big ones is interesting.
What time tonight will you guys show up at Hawaiian Brians? Will other elements of Team Blunt make a guest appearance?
