The same thing is happening to me today. it started when i put in umvc3. the square button is staying on even when unplugged. swapped buttons and its still showing the square button on. How did you fix this? I would bring it back but not sure how well shipping would be considering I live on the east coast, CT. Is the warranty 1 year on these?
I would do the Brook UFB pcb with an ezpz or ezmod , thats what I would do
I’ll have to check out the pcb when i have time to see if something is wrong. I do know how to solder, but I’ll wait until I hear back from madcatz first. I’m really new to owning sticks so I’m kind of pissed that I spent so much money on this stick and have too repair it already.
If it is still under warranty and purchased from an authorized reseller, then madcatz will work with you.
got a hold of Mad Catz and They gave me a RMA# to send my stick back and as of right now the new stick is one its way. Excited , whole process takes about two weeks. Been using my Hori rap4 in the mean time and loosing a lot with it lol.
Good to hear…now if only they start selling the darn side panels and bezel!
Just wanted to let you guys know, that I had problem with stuck R3 button on the PCB panel.
I was able to fix it by reflowing 2 of the legs using a soldering iron. Was a super simple fix to unstuck the button.
If you want more directions its here: 01nomad.com/maker/how-to-fix-r3-stuck-button-that-appears-held-down-on-mad-catz-te2
Much quicker an cheaper than sending the whole unit back. Madcatz refused to just send a PCB replacement.
