Truth be told, I am not sure how well this game was received at Comic Con, but the lines to play it were very short. I think there were bigger lines for T6, which suprised me since CC is usually filled with anime fans too.
I remember me and Seth were talking for a while, then he said maybe we should let some other people have a turn. So we turn and theres no one in line (lol sorry Seth).
I am not sure why this game isn’t catching on, but I would have to guess it’s either the controls or Tatsunoko in general.
I know Alex is as the lowest tier of this game and so far we haven’t seen much from him, even by showing on the current WIP version videos, but hey, he can do serious dammage without any baroque or super bar, it’s just he can’t hit anyone
I’ve been trying getting Chun next to him and she has a great assist for his j.B, j.B,j.B, j.B, sj.A, sj.A, sj.B. sj.B, sj.C xx power bomb, and so does Rock.
One thing I think they should look again is those low pokes that can be blocked high, like Alex’s c.A and Ken’s, among others, although I think they’ll just leave those as they’re by now…It’s just it’s kind of unfair for guys like Alex with so low chances for his combo opener attacks.
Yeah Alex’s problems are twofold. If you just go through sort of what the developers envisioned as a standard BnB string, my guess would be that he does more damage than the rest of the cast, since his strikes do good damage, and he can end in a big damage throw. To compensate for this, he has traditional grappler style shitty approaches. Unfortunately, as people mess around with the game, people discover more and more damaging combo options for faster more versatile characters, while chars like alex get completely left in the dust. So now he’s got shitty approaches and average/subpar damage.
Basically he didn’t seem as shitty at first, but then everyone else got better and he didn’t.
Problem with that article is that the translator is very inaccurate (confirmed by S-kill himself), so while Capcom has all but confirmed that there will be an announcement around the time of TGS, we don’t know which bits of the article are correct and which ones are not.
