Yeah they’re definitely rebalancing stuff. Those of us who have gotten in depth with the current version are already talking about some changes that we’ve seen in the scant few videos.
I think I recall seeing a someone/megaman team that would air combo switch in megaman so he could do the shield bounce into infinite.
also what do you mean by “maximum” I don’t get that. Is that a character?
So, do they seem to be for the better?
If this game is patched up a bit it’ll be awesome. I’d even buy a Fighting Stick Wii for it.
looks like ill have to get myself a Wii.
I wonder how this person got the new art for Batsu and Casshern?
I wanna know exactly what is being taken out (characters, features, moves) and what is being replaced. There any way to know this?
It’s kind of hard to say. Here’s some changes that we’ve seen so far.
- Karas’ sword spin seems slower (good move, this was a retardedly good counter to anything, for when you thought you had him opened up or he was using something laggy)
- Chun li’s level 3 super combos off of her DP now (doesn’t really need this, but it shouldn’t help her much other than making her combos look cooler)
- Casshern’s denkou punch has a stagger effect now instead of the normal hit stun, hopefully this is only for one version or something, because that would make his combos actually do potentially less damage than before.
4.Some shit with PTX’s moves, you’d have to ask frustratedsquirrel about that cuz I don’t play PTX.
EDIT: A new one I just saw in some E3 footage, morrigan’s 5C can actually be comboed from a 2B which should increase her normal BnB damage substantially.
these have all been just noticed in just a few really short clips, so I think it’s safe to say they’re doing some pretty heavy balancing in addition to adding new characters. It’s hard to say just yet though whether it will be better or worse overall.
also @jjb,
daimao will be taken out, nobody can see who or what’s gonna be in yet though.
Well all I can say for sure is that PTX looks faster overall. His 2A is definately quicker to execute. The guns also seem to chain together much more smoothely, but it’s hard to tell since I’m sure that PTX was a CPU anyway.

PTX vs Chun Li and Ken the Eagle
From this video, we can already see PTX has gotten some pretty major buffs. Faster normals, air 5C now combos all hits (previously, the first hit connected and all the others were blockable if the opponent was airborn) Riot tackle sends the opponent farther away for a higher chance of a wallbounce, chainsaw special knocks down, chainsaw super does more damage, and they didn’t remove jump canceling.
Dee Jay?
I wish. Unfortunately I think he’s referring to maximo…
noob question, my apologies if its been answered
why is this only on the wii?
any plans for it to go on any other consoles in the future?
Unless they pull an RE4 on us, then it will be Wii exclusive.
The arcade hardware it’s based on is pretty much a Wii, porting to other consoles might cost more than it brings in, they’ve said no in interviews.
Pick one (or a combination of several).
It’s not impossible, but seems very unlikely.
This is looking good. Here is hoping that this is the push the game needs to catch on.
If you already own a Wii and a PS2 arcade stick, buy a converter to play this on the cheap. Its worth it!
Thats wht i done using a HRAP1 works perfect and i really like the game its a lot of fun , im geting a bit bored playing the CPU tho
On a related note, the game has won as Best of E3 Fighting Game by four sites.
I think Seth said ‘Maximo’. Maximo is a lock.
I heard “Maximo is, a lot”, meaning he gets lots of requests for Maximo, not a confirmation that he’s in the game. Something like a new character would not be revealed in a podcast - it would probably be through a press release or news website with screenshots and/or a video to go along with a new character announcement.
