I am only charging an $8 door fee because the owner of the business is taking half of it, that was our agreement. Thats why he lets me host a FREE casuals night every wednesday. Therefore i make $4 off of each person, and that money is not going to pay my car payment, i would never do that. The money that i am making will go to a bank account that i am going to set up for the community, and will use this money to purchase things that will further the community. Things like lagless monitors, stream equipment, replacing lost/damaged games and equipment.
I work a 40 hour/week job as a construction painter, i work my ass off everyday to pay my bills and support my wife. I dont need your guys 4 dollars to pay my bills, i just need it to further the community. All you guys talk about is getting sponsored or playing to win, well guess what, if your names not out there then how do you suppose that will happen. You all want to become these great players, but you can’t save $8 in two months? put a freaking dollar in a piggy bank once a week and you will have saved enough by the tournament.
Correct me if i am wrong but i don’t think Intel or Madcatz is showing up at Alma every month scouting for players, cuz they sure as hell ain’t at Livingstons every week. So you need to get on streams and to get your matches recorded so they get posted up on the front page of SRK and eventhubs and iplaywinner. Otherwise you are going to be just that guy who wins the local tournament for the rest of your life.
Also don’t tell me that i have been to no events just because i havent been to an Alma event yet. Sundays are generally bad for me, but i will be there this Sunday and i am bringing a crew of guys with me. I make the 3.5 Hour long drive to support CEO everytime i can. I did not make CEO2011 this year due to my work slowing down and me missing several days. Its more important to me to pay my bills then to play street fighter

@Booker I haven’t played since CEO but generally play smart. I’m still working out those fights. I do have one wakeup setup where wake up dp whiffs for them. But it is very specific
