Mike G: Newest 3SO Online Warrior features Speedy Speed Boy and Dancin’ In My Dreams. Max is an Initial D fan for sure lol.
I dont know about you guys, but im super interested in trying these new razer brand arcade sticks. I feel like this company with extensive feed back can actually make their own brand parts and have them feel just as good as japanese/happ parts. I hope they dont fuck it up. I have filled out the beta form and if i get a ‘prototype’ copy of the arcade stick ill need everyone in town to help play on it and contribute feedback as well.
Mitch: name’s Chris. I’m not that hot at the game myself, but I understand it well enough and definitely wouldn’t mind playing a bit if you need some PvP exp.
A new valkyrie profile??? Tell me more…
Yoooo let me get that! Is it for a real console?
Im with you guys i would definitely love another valkyrie profile. that game was way too damn fun for psp and ps2.
Seriously. You guys won’t see me for a while if that drops.
Got a question for you all: most of you know I’m trying to take SF4 to the next level. What’s the biggest thing that you all can see from my play that I can work on? I’m open to any and all suggestions and criticisms.
You play too many characters.
I said this a long time ago. A lot. Also, play more rotations, less 1v1’s.
Yeah, that list has a new Valkyrie Profile for the PS Vita. That handheld is looking to have an amazing launch/holiday lineup. And really, who would launch a handheld with no good games on release…?
Did that stop Adonis from nearly taking first at Final Round in BB? If I recall, he plays at least 6 characters with a high level of proficiency, and knows almost everything about every member of the cast (most probably through playing with them at some point, lab or otherwise). I still can’t understand this logic.
Well, Adonis is the man. Also note the one tournament where he did REALLY good he stuck to one character the entire time instead of going between characters like he’d normally do. Stuck to his guns and almost went all the way!
Yeah good point there. I hear you. Still trying to find my flow I guess. Definitely settling on Fei, Ryu, Rose, and Rogster. Idk, I’ve always loved the idea of total proficiency, and its been really enlightening to see how well I’d do with other playstyles and tool sets. Might be time to lock in, though.
GGs to Drew in Marvel. We have yet again confirmed that Wolvie, even in the hands of a scrub, is still retarded.
More hot reads, less boring frame exploitation!
um what ron said has some merit. But i dont thinks its bad to know how to play a wide range of characters in the cast cause its often the best way to figure out what those characters strengths and weaknesses are. A lot of top and really good players know how to play a lot of characters. The difference is in knowing how to play them and putting in the work to main them.
But with you i think you are really still trying to find a main in the game. In your case I would say find a true main then a solid back up to cover miss matches( i.e. the twins and fei). Because in AE its way easier to just get a side character to fight against bad match ups than to try and fight through them the old school way.
Outside of character i think u need to open up your offensive with some of your characters. We talked about it last time we played but flushing out your option selects and improving your reactions in various situations. Gathering a better understanding of character properties. That last thing entails a lot, and may not be worth it with 2012 coming right around the corner and being poised to change everything.
oh play me more get body learn to love the pipe…
Oh on a different note since there is a lot of ragging on games on here. Every game out right now has a little ass in it. But its all we have. Learning to love that ass whooping is not that bad. Especially if you just make sure you are getting better with every lost.
This is a little too true haha.
Need less than 25% health to activate Pandora. Unlimited EX and Supers. Fuck. It’s a comeback mechanic.
Good games Mitch!
GGs to Chris in MK yesterday. Really appreciate the help with Scorpion. Finally starting to see the vortex setup and damage opportunities. (Also sorry for being tired as fuck and bitchy…even though I STILL say I should have been grabbed by that B.S. Easy Mac grab)…
The meeting at the office went like this-
jerk1- well you know there has been a lot of complaints about xfactor
jerk2- really?
jerk1- yeah something about players wanting to win with skill and all
jerk2-What too much skill in xfactor?!
jerk1-huh
jerk2-i got it add unlimited meter and one button special
jerk1-wait thats not what i…
jerk2- ok no one button specials
jerk1-but…
jerk2-oh call it some new
jerk1-do i still get paid for this
LOL Jay.
Chris-As far as picking a main, I’d just say play the character you have the most fun with. If you have fun with them win or lose, then you’ll stick with them. My longest running main has been Kazuya. I’ve used him in every Tekken since TTT. I use a lot of characters in games yes, but that’s usually to see how they work (pokes, frame traps, oki, etc) or do their combos (bc I’m a combo whore). Ron for the most part, is correct. You should stick to 1-2 characters if you’re going to be REALLY good at a game. I’d probably be the shit in Marvel if I just stuck with my initial team throughout the game (Dante/Sent/Dorm) instead of fucking with over half the cast.
So how about that BBCSEPerso…errr that Persona 4 Fighter? I’m thinking of picking that up.
