I got in on Steam, and the release was insanely buggy, but I haven’t been having too many issues with it recently and the game is really damn fun. I’m not 100% sure if they have fixed all the online issues since I just LAN through Hamachi to play with my friends, but it seems like they got most of the inexcusable release bugs, at least.
The original Steam release was actually a dev build. GG’s Dead Island team.

Yeah, you could enter no-clip mode by hitting the “Y” key, and then when they removed the debug files from the game folder it reset items and story progress on all saves you had. It was a trying time, to be sure >_<.
But even after the Dev version removal patch it was crazy buggy. Looks to be on the upswing now, though.

@Chris: I do the same. I’m really messing with you - but I’m also promising I’m going to be gunning for your Ermac if you spend any extended time on him. By the way…he’s really good but once you’ve been on him a bit you will find his weaknesses and they are many. He’s considered upper-mid tier to most of the community. I’ll have new tech for him most likely when we meet next.

yeah matt i saw the stream it was ok the player really sucked imo. I just went and picked up the game myself and have been busy trying to get early lvl op. Im almost there believe it or not. Its not fun watching me play rpgs i do a loooot of grinding. Mindless grinding. We do need to get up i wont be free til like next week but lets make it happen.

Yes i played Mechwarrior 2,3,4, and 4 BK all competitively on MSN Zone(RIP) back then i was in one of the top 3 clans DDM (Death Dealer Mercenaries)(i was also in another clan i cant remember the damn tag to) and my old call-sign was SySTEMsNOMINAL/SySNOM, because that ho that told me my mech was ok when i was booting that bitch up was like the coolest shit to hear when i was a youngin.
Yea he sucked but it was cool watching the new gameplay aspects and revamped sprites.

Nice! Man I miss those games so much, so much nostalgia when I think back. My buddy and I bootin up buttons for dos so we could run 2/Ghost Bear/Mercs lol. We played on a flight stick, don’t know the proper controls for the game or anything but it was still mad fun.
Apparently there’s a reboot coming out? But it might get delayed due to some shit I dunno. Tried playing MechAssault when it came out but it just wasn’t the same
