Also i was talking to jay about this. Anyone think that there will be a lack of top US players at FR because of the Orlando Major? I dont think people who live more than a few states away would go for a double 1000 Round trip back to back. I could be wrong, just a thought.

Since this applies to many of us I think:
Preorder FFXIII at amazon.com and you get a $10 credit that you can use towards another game later (Super Street Fighter IV).
Easy way to save some cash on these games I think a few of us will be picking up. Also Amazon’s release date shipping is only $5 or so, and since you don’t have to pay tax it sorta makes up for that.
Honestly I recommend any new game purchases be from Amazon, their new game prices are usually 3-4 dollars below MSRP, and they often give $10 credits for new releases.
So it’s mid-January and since FR is only 2 months away, I think now is an appropriate time to start talking about who’s going, who’s driving, etc. I suppose a tentative list would go as follows:

I’m planning on entering T6BR, BB, and GG. I doubt FUC will be there at all but I’m willing to practice that a little bit just in case we wanna bust some heads. We (meaning me/ron/kyle/james/terrance) need to start playing GG again so we can flow between BB and GG seamlessly. If you’re planning on entering Tekken, you should probably come out to Andy’s tonight to get some training. The first day we’re there though I’m gonna try to get access to the ATL tekken house so we can get some REAL training in, unless our room becomes the tekken room like at FR X lol. I’m gonna train up my Bob some more as an “Oh shit” character, and I’m gonna try to mess around w/ Nina and Anna some more b/c I’m sure there will be alot of ppl there using them. BB I’m running Litchi/Ragna and GG I’m running ALL SLAYER.

Speaking of FR. I think we should be having alot more sessions with Round Robins/ Double elims at the end. I know with my new schedule as of today. Ill be down to host games every after noon after 6pm till FR.

I’m not going to FR this year. Right now I don’t care enough about any game to want to test myself vs. other people. I’d much rather wait for SSFIV to be out and go to the GAMME tournament in Orlando.
I definitely do want to play some GG though. Saw a May combo video the other day and it really made me wanna swing some anchors around.
Well, I’m probably not gonna be able to get two weekends off in a row and I have to go to Steve’s bachelor’s party. So, GAMME is probably out for me.
However, I am a definite for Final Round. I will be driving and can fit 7 in my ride. I will require a slight cash input for gas but I think having 7 in a ride would make it far more economical. We can talk tonight.
Games I’ll be playing are:
Tekken, MvC2, possibly SF4 if I can get back into it. Then if there are team events in any of those I’d be down.

- New Ultra: Demon Armageddon. Up, Up + 3x Kick command. Doesn’t seem to have many ways to combo into it, can’t be used as anti-air. Also will miss crouching opponents.

I read that the second ultra connects from fadc after a srk. Which would make it amazing for combo damage. We were all talking about it last night, if so Akuma is gonna be dumb.
Yeah that’s pretty much all you need…if you get your ultra off just SRK FADC then you’re doing good. It gives Akuma the option of guaranteed damage vs. shenanigans. Regardless of all that it does look ridiculously silly, though. That’s just something Akuma players will have to deal with I guess.
well if its good damage and they dont nerf the range or speed on his FADC too much then i guess itll be good.
Ive been rocking akuma since the OG days. So for better or for worst that cat will always be my main.

It’s actually not really like either, as I couldn’t even get it to really “work!” That means that it’s not extremely easy to land or pressure your opponents with.
She has a Rekka-style dive kick where if it connects, she can add two additional hits to it.

Akuma’s new Ultra (U, U + KKK) is a grab with little range. It looks cool and does a fair amount of damage, but what makes it interesting is that you can cancel a teleport into it!
