there are two differences with marn and flash.
One marn is far more experienced on the sf4 tourney scene he knows the match ups better and play far better competition on a more consistent basis.
Two marn is more dangerous with viper with her comboās. Marn can consistently get her ultra off of anything. Any of the crouching light, mediums, or typical fierces. He also does her flames kick lower to the ground more consistently.
Now give flash a little more time and it may be different. Since flash like a lot of other gg players could give a shit about bb.
10 minutes in pmode and arakune is one of the most fun characters to play in the game. Rachel is just dumb :looney:

Imo, results are everythingā¦ Marn is the only person to knock J Wong out of a SF4 tourney in many months when the won Triple Threat. And he did it with Viper.
Butā¦ Marn just lost at the WCG Tourney up in New York when he was baited into using Viper instead of Rufus by Sanford Kelly (donāt know if you all saw the video). Apparently Marn ended up using Viper during day 2 of the tourney and didnāt fare too well. He lost to the same NECX competition that Flash dominated two weeks ago.
With all that said, it does seem that Flash needs more experience to become the overall better Viper. Recently he has been though, in my mind.
Haha now youāre speakinā my language. First time I picked him up I was ??? but I was soon a convert to the BEES. I play way too much online mode though, easy to get away with (cursed) 3A 3A 3A 6A x N cheese all day. Need to learn, like, real combos though. CS Arakune seems to be more focused on 966~7B pressure and fillinā dat meter for giant bee loops.
If youāll be at the T6 tournament we should get some squiggly vs. squiggly, not to mention Iād love to get serious about Tekken and get some Lars tips. That goes for all of you guys, trying to dedicate my gaming to fighting games and give it my all and online play just isnāt cutting it. You guys seem like a good, skilled group of gamers; looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new guys to play with and learn from.

if you go by tournement results its no contest. Marn is more experienced and has better more quality wins in the scene.
Also if you werent paying attention sanford owns the win lost record versus flash by a good margin.
Sanford might be the third best american player behind jwong and marn.
If sanford conmitted a 100 percent to a character like jwong and marn do his tourney results would improve in my opinion but its just that.
However marn owns the win lost record versus sanford and that is with his rufus, and viper.
Jwong and marn are kind of the reason he is maining sagat in tournaments lately.
also rob you play everyone I play. I have hands down the best arakune around and the best vega. You said you wanted to get up but you were ghost at the last few gatherings. The tournament thing is cool but not the best place to help someone with gameplay. Post up your availibility and lets see if we can work something out. Also dont ask me to play online not an option.
Some strong points so id have to say i agree with marn being the better overall.
Id also agree with Jay, jarv, i know your serious and you have potential. Wed all love to have another good person in town. another varied playstyle would be awesome, but you need to start coming out more to the gatherings. Most def especially with school out.

Thanks guys. Sorry if it seems like I wasnāt dedicated or just talkinā out my ass. End of last semester was pretty stressful and I didnāt have much of a life outside school and work, but especially with the break and a more organized Spring semester Iāll have more time to play. I agree getting together outside of a tournament setting is much more ideal. I donāt have a car in town though, so if anyoneās within biking distance of Ocala Rd/FSU area Iāll be down. And yeah Jay Iām with ya there, online isnāt an option!
When I get back to Tally tomorrow and to my work schedule Iāll post up availabilities (ugh speaking of, hope Iām not working Friday night shift) and weāll get something worked out. Jay Iād love a good Arakune 102 session with ya, not a complete Aranoob but I canāt get 6C or j.236C loops down. Appreciate all the enthusiasm gents!
In other news, got my HRAP SE-EX before I left and Iāve been playinā Reload on my computer with it. Seimitsu sticks are really nice! Shorter throw is nice, feels like Iām parrying better in 3S too. Buttons are very flat, not as hypersensitive as Sanwas but not at all like HAPP buttons or anything. Itās a 360 stick but I plan on dropping an mc cthulhu board in it and putting in PS3/PS2 cables. Been chatting with Otoko Mitchi about soldering it up and drilling holes for the wires but if we run into any snags, any of you guys knowledgeable in this department?
