Actually, Adam, scratch the MC and Imp boards and just order a ChimpSMD. Don’t really need MC support since I’m keeping the PS2 PCB in there anyway. Guess I’m going with the white iL stick since they’re out of stock on the black ones. Toss in some .187 connectors, too. So, the new/final list:
8x Happ Competition Buttons w/switches, all black preferred
1x iL EuroJoystick (white)
1x ChimpSMD
1x Neutrik USB (black) (gonna go with USB instead of RJ-45, I think it’ll just make everything simpler that way, unless there’s a good reason I shouldn’t)
Come to think of it, do I even NEED a Neutrik if I’m not going the MC Cthulu route? Can’t I just have one USB coming from the Chimp? I suppose a Neutrik would be cleaner (since I’d have to run the USB through the bottom of the Anniversary Stick case like the PS2 cable), but it’d be more work (need to drill a hole for it, wire it up). Plus, I’m a little worried about the USB cable popping out of the adapter. Scratch the Neutrik if it’s not necessary.
I would do some research on the USB Neutrik. I believe you will only need one and in that case the usb neutrik should be ok, i would just double check.
I’ll place the order Friday evening, if ANYONE needs any parts, let me know exactly what you need, and i’ll make sure we add it. I think if everyone kicks in 3$ at most, that should cover shipping… the more people that go in, the less it will cost everyone for shipping…

Items in red are present but their usefulness remain to be seen. The fast fly did absolutely pathetic damage and the Sent Force comboing off RP hasn’t been shown so the DHC will likely suck.

Also, the trailer didn’t show any unblockable doesn’t mean he won’t have one. It won’t be crouching fierce since that looked way not as good, but I’m pretty sure he’ll have more than one unblockable setup with the right assists (as will multiple characters).
Anyway, regardless, I’ll be playing him. So theorize all your big character infinites now you gonna need 'em!
You guys are forgetting the important thing: did anyone else notice that they gave Hsien-ko a dive kick? As if she wasn’t already a rushdown monster in VS.
GMike: I buy through Steam for several reasons: price, matchmaking, and convenience. They frequently have great sales, plus I enjoy having almost all of my PC games accessible (and automatically up to date) with one program. It sounds weird, but Steam is the Wal-Mart of digital distribution.
Re: Magicka: The game is amazingly fun ONCE YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET SOME GAMES GOING. Not only is network support incredibly buggy and unreliable, but even single-player is riddled with bugs. I know they’ve committed to daily patching until it works, but I think it really could’ve benefited from a longer playtesting stage.
I’ma go ahead and give you a free Sent unblockable - In the corner after HSF do immediate low or high assist + jump stomp or cr.rh. If HSF is untechable to the ground do a normal in to flight mode in to stomp + assist. If you have time to get a normal after the air super (which they free fall during), then there’s another setup for you.
X-23, Felicia, Wolverine, Wesker, She-Hulk…all gonna be good assists to unblockable with, I bet. And Sent doesn’t do pathetic damage. His shit was doing like 70%. The “fast fly” combo he did in the reveal trailer did 50% without an OTG rocket punch + super. Also if you look in the trailer when he hits Haggar with random rocket punches he falls to the ground and rolls. That pretty much gurantees RP to HSF.
I think Sent’s going to be close to as deadly as he is in MvC2, he’s just not going to have the ridiculous zone because he is very clearly much slower, doesn’t have super armor, and I imagine his flight mode only lasts a few seconds like Iron Man.
And I’m sorry Adonis, but I think Phoenix is going to be unplayable. She just has TOO little life. Dark Phoenix may be godlike but you’ll be hella gimping your team saving meter for that. Also I predict there’s going to be a retarded way to avoid Dark Phoenix even activating, like if you kill her with a level 3 cinematic super or something (which of course would be WAY overkill on that pixie ho…)

yeah phoenix looked like suck out the box no life no pokes, bad keep away projectiles, bad chip, and no life at all. Clearly worth the roster spot maybe her assist will be god like.
also ron in the match play vids that had sent did have super armor. He does really good base damage, who knows what he can do with a few months in practice mode. Although i have to say his movement speed overall is so so very very shitty. No where near as effective as in mvc2, but the game is slower so maybe he can overcome it. That being said viewtiful joes slow down super might just cripple him lol joe as anti sentinel.
i was excited about hisen ko and now that she is here she has everything that made her good wonderful. Man please let me not suck at this game.
