There was a board that Adam suggested I get; I believe it’s the Akishop PS360 Tri Mod PCB? I was going to have him order one for me. I’m not going to fool around with new buttons until I get new artwork on the stick.
Im a bit concerned about my stick shorting out. It doesn’t do it at home and hasn’t done it at a tournament yet but I’d rather not push my luck, aka the sooner we can get whatever is needed ordered, the better off I’ll be. If need be, I’ll front the cash for Mike G’s parts, so can we get something poppin cus I kinda want to just get this done and over with.

There are a few options you guys have as far as the Dual Mod goes…
There is the Paewang Revolution Board…
Joytron Paewang Revolution -PCB Only-
Does X360 and PS3 right out of the box. All that is needed is a couple of wiring harnesses (Bought from the same site). The only potential issue is that it is using 3rd party Microsoft chips, so there is a potential that MS could release an update that could kill it.
Then, there is the Chimp
This is the easiest way to dual mod with a 360 stick. Again, this will only be x360 / ps3
Then there is the MC Cthulhu…
Toodles Cthulhu for Multi-Console
This can be setup with the RJ-45 setup like I use that allows you to use cables for almost any system… If using this, you will also need…
The IMP Board…
This allows you to cross the VCC and Common Ground of the stock 360 TE board and the MC Cthulhu…
The only part not in stock right now is the IMP.
Sadly, I cannot Solder very well and dont want to take the risk of ruining your sticks… My buddy is slammed at work and doesn’t have the time to help us out right now… If you guys can find someone who can solder, the mod itself isn’t too hard to do…
You’re talking about stock 360 TE boards but I have a PS3 board is there an option for that or will I still need a 360 board too

You’ll either need someone to padhack a 360 controller (like a MadCatz or Gamestop one, you can pick one up at a Goodwill sometimes for super cheap) like Chris has in his, or go for the PS360.
Luckily, I purchased a 360 stick just so it’d be easier to dual mod with a ChimpSMD or MC Cthulu. Probably going to go the Chimp route since it’s a bit cheaper and I don’t plan on playing on more than PS2/PS3/360, really.
I don’t really know what I’m looking at with all these pcbs. What do I need to get if I have a ps3 TE stick and want to to dual mod it? Is there a decent guide to doing this? I’ve seen a couple for 360 => PS3.
Check my post right above yours, it’s about a PS3 TE. There are bunch of guides in the Tech Talk subforum, and I can solder decently if you need some help. Matt (esjihn) has more experience with the PS3 mod, though.

Yeah, i’m not 100% on how to do the Dual mod solder-wise, thats why I just snagged my Marvel TE when it was cheap…
There are a shit ton of threads that can walk you through it though… i’m sure if we all put our brain power together, we could figure it out…

I got the vewlix running Mame and want to get a better version than what I’m using…
I was actually running GGPO which is just a frontend for Final Burn Alpha. It’s pretty smooth for a good reason: it was made (in the beginning) to emulate CPS-1 and CPS-2 specifically. It’s since expanded to Neo Geo, too. The problem is that it’s not capable of even close to the level of automation that you can get with a MAME setup. You’d still need a keyboard to get everything running when you boot it.

Oh shit, finally got info about that good Nine-Tails Ryu and Oni in AE. Oni looks pretty fast, what with the air dash and all. I’d play either one, really.
