Different note - The new WoW expansion comes out in 2 weeks, and at the very least myself, Andy, and Logan (who cares?) might disappear for a couple of weeks following. They just released a new content patch that remade the original world and reshaped/improved the leveling experience from 1 - 60. Also the original game is on sale for $5 until the 30th, and the first two expansions are on sell for $5 and $10. If any of you haven’t tried it and want to, now would be the perfect time. Despite the baseless hate it receives, it really is the best online gaming experience you can have.
If anyone feels like giving it a try give me an e-mail address and I can send you a 10-day trial. You can get one from the website on your own if you want…but if you actually play past the trial I would get some random bonuses and that’d be swell. Also if you played in the past and want to try it out again you can also get a free trial (for your existing account) if you haven’t played in like 6 months…which would also give me nifty stuff.
I haven’t played since the release of BC. Have they made the leveling process a little less maddening since then? (IE: less fetch questing?)
You can actually level exclusively through doing instances, now, which is what I do because I can’t stand questing. Although to do this you need to be a healer or tank for faster queue times. I’ll be starting WoW up again when Cataclysm hits, as well, although I doubt my friends happen to play on the same server as any of you <_<.
You can also level through PvP if you wish. The quests are largely the same, because there’s only so much you can do with single-player questing, though they have innovated where they can. The dungeon finder is also really good and really does help.
The fact that you can level through PvP is pretty nifty. Thankfully this is coming out throughout the holidays so Ill be in the Central FL area for most of it. Ill never touch an MMORPG again and Ill have nothing else to do but play fighters over the break.
Also, they stopped taking as many shits on lower level players. You get your mount at 20 now, so it actually helps you throughout the game, and with Cataclysm they are making the talent trees give you their primary moves earlier, so you don’t spend 50 levels pumping points to modify a skill you don’t get until 60 >_<.

Ron - got to play your Rufus more. That’s pretty much how Jo Grey (SimplyFear) plays that match and it’ll help me a lot next month.
Andy - I fully expect that Seth to be business soon. Keep it up. Also, the only real reason I start my jumps with Ryu with c.lk - c.lp is because its the BnB that I practice aka I straight up suck and will work on it since you mentioned it.
Crespo - Think I’m finally ready to tackle that Fuerte. FT10 when I get back? I know it won’t be pretty but I just want to see what I can do.

No worries on the Ryu, the only reason I asked in the first place was because I thought there was something about the matchup I didn’t know. You do what you do. Ryu was looking good.

Appreciate that. Hopefully we’ll have a solid Ryu that’s available for everyone to play in the next month after I learn a bit more about matchups (when he’s sharp, I would say Matt, but for obvious reasons, that’s not available to everyone). There was a Ryu in ATL that put me on notice and I’d like to bring that level of play here.
Over the next month or so I think Im going back to basics: poking, heavy footsie game and mixing up. Also going to work on jump-in recognition and ticking throws, cus God damn… Ken and Rufus annoy the fuck out of me with their throw game.
Oh, one more tidbit: Ill be bringing an ASUS home so if the gatherings get super tight, we can run 4 setups.
Hell if I could just find some cheap portable speakers we could run my monitor too. I liked the kitchen setup last night, makes me think about running three tvs in my living room + a set up at the bar in the kitchen. Maybe reserve that for liquor-Marvel :wow:

It’s SSF4 and BBCS. Orlando has been talking ALOT of shit about them being the best in FL at BB, and I do certainly believe we can prove them wrong. AKA and I had a FUCKTON of matches the other day, and he believes Valk is my best character (lol). I’m sure the SSF4 xp would be great for all of us in general. It’s 12/18 so we’ll all be out of school, I would’ve just got paid, and there’s pretty much no reason not to go. Who’s down?
