That’s how I’m feeling. Good games to all that helped me work on team chair. Need to confirm Modok 5A into 5B 6C to both get dudes off of me and for more analyze cubes. Gotta get that hot doom combo down too.
I have been getting decent matches online plugged into my router. But only when no one else in my apartment is using the Internet.
Its pretty easy after a bit: I tend to omit the 3rd relaunch with the combo continuation I showed you yesterday because that’s when it gets slightly harder, which isn’t too big of a deal, but if he whiffs either the c.B or c.C, he’s free.
Going tot try this game with an octo for awhile: gonna see how that goes.
EDIT: Anyone need any parts? Putting in a parts order by the end of the day.
Damn. GG’s last night. I forgot how fun this game is, haven’t had time to play recently. Also, use a wired router for online! I get decent games that way.
Can’t you guys work in a reset somewhere in that combo? I do them all the time! (Because I drop combos. )
From the 16th through the 22nd my lady friend is going to be in North Dakota to visit some family. Kind of want to set up the week for hardcore training sessions with you guys, anyone down? Get off at 5 on the weekdays
I’ll be out of town from Saturday through the following Saturday for work… Have to go to Vermont…Ugh… Let’s get as many games in as possible (Super too!)
Normally, when I see the veterans play, I notice that there usually less push blocking happening than when the newer folks play. Why is that? Is there some method to the way that you are rushing down that avoids push blocking (mashing A or delayed chain finishers aside). I typically can’t even get an offense started because of this.
EDIT: This applies to Mags/Doom/Stormesque characters. With Akuma I’ve found ways around it that I’m able to control.
For me? Old habits die hard, I guess. Push blocking would get you incredibly screwed in MvC2 if you were too liberal with it. It’s much better in this game.
They are also expecting frame traps. Most mpoves with small hitstun have small pushblock windows, good frame advantage, and higher chances of of pushblock inputs turning into backdashes or c.C’s.
Pushblock for distance. Most of the characters you listed don’t necessarily want distance that often. Also, randomly pushblocking leads to accidental dashes that can get you killed. Its not a bad mechanic but learn when you want to use it and when you don’t.
For instance if someone is on top of you and you want to counter attack push blocking them away leaves you less deep and IMO less likely to catch an assist. But if I’m playing Phoenix and trying to get sky high to spam balls, then I’m pushblocking everything.
Also, I didn’t realize how much pushblock reduced chip in this game until last night or I’d probably be using it more.
If you pushblock every time you block, and some people do, you give up opportunities to punish by pushing them back so you’re too far away, and if you had just regular blocked, you could punish with a chain into death.
