Okay, Drew/Mike/Chris/Anyone, here is the secret to playing Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (and to some degree, any fighting game): When you get a hit, make sure you get damage. I’m not just saying don’t drop your combos, I mean when you get a random j.H or something, land and get a launch. At this stage of the game’s life, that’s really the most important thing you can do. We that are “good” aren’t really anything great, it’s just that more of our hits lead to a lot more damage. Yeah there’s a lot of other stuff everyone needs to work on as well, like not running in to Haggar assists or respecting a lot of characters when they have 3 meters, but getting the most damage off random hits is seriously the most important thing. It’s the biggest problem I see.

Addendum: Training Mode -> Dummy Settings -> Guard -> Random Guard.

Do S attacks count as overheads when they are stand alone attacks? I’ve got the training dummy set to All Block (Low Attacks only) and S attacks still hit.

EDIT: Nvm, there is a Middle Atk classification.

Usually folks will meet up at someones house and game right before they dip out to FR. I know half of us are leaving today.(I wish) While the other half of us are leaving early morning friday.

hey all gl to all going to FR

I would like to game help train up with u all but as u know nia is out of commission and im basically taking care of everything now and cant really leave her by herself for a session where u know we all get caught up and loose track of time. The only way i can game with anyone is at my place during a small window in the afternoon. It looks like it will be this way for the better part of this month. So i guess enjoy the time now while i will become very free in pretty much everything!

Sad too since i was loving mvc3 its a scrubby game that requires skill not execution wise but theres a lot of reaction skill to the game being able to capitalize on all the little random things that happen from time to time. Oh well i guess good luck again to everyone when nia is feeling better may throw a jay is very f-ing free party. Someone better get top ten in something this year.
