ok guys, we have a choice to make, either we do our next tourney on Sept 22nd, which is the same day as the 2nd SEGC, or we don’t do another tournament till mid october. The week before is the daytona tourney, which i stress some of you going, and the week after is jebailey’s tourney in orlando. The way i see it, orlando doesn’t need two tourney dates. the choice is yours
I say mid-October, no sense in intentionally damaging attendance.
Why don’t we do it in August, then skip September, that way there’s not a 3-month gap?

I’m not trying to pick a fight, I legitamentally mean it. Think outside the box for a little bit. Im at the point to where i say Fuck florida. We’re really not part of Florida as it is, we’re more south Georgia. So rather try to appeal to the people in Southern FL who don’t want to drive or are on CEO’s nuts, I’d rather appeal to the Tri-state area. Why go for big when you can go bigger!
I don’t see why this is a valid reason not to do it in August, we arent going to have these games at the upcoming July tournament either, and we didnt have them at the last one. If we can’t do a tourney in September, our choice are a) have an October tourney only, or b) have both an August AND an October tourney, which will be 2 months apart. If we want to have a competitive scene we should probably compete.

Also I will not comment on the “bigness” of any scene or anything regarding that, I will say “let’s see who we can realistically get to come to our tournaments instead of asking people to drive 4+ hours when they have plenty of events in their backyard.”

That’s assuming you get the date on the 28th, and not earlier. Since you’re already talking about running an event on a certain month, sniping a good date asap and advertising would be a good idea.
