I know people say you eventually get past the silly / dumb things upsetting you, but the more I play this game the angrier I get. There’s no reason for things to be that bad, game=shelved.

It’s not because of Mike’s play (or anyone else’s), it’s because of the game. It doesn’t click for me and probably never will. I’m not good at breaking shit, or setting people up to fall into broken shit. That isn’t my idea of fun.
Too much stupid shit happens to the characters I like and when things are a toss up, they always end up in the other players favor. Always. Just going to end it and hope I can have some fun with the next shitty Capcom Game.

Didn’t you play Melee? I feel like Melee had a similar prerequisite of breaking the game, if perhaps a bit less egregious. Not that I’m disagreeing with you on Marvel, I feel the same way, just can’t bring myself to want to play it.

Melee is an incredibly dumb game, but at least it’s consistent. Sure, it had bugs (Like invisible ceilings, and falling through the level) but you couldn’t take advantage of those bugs and add them to your repertoire. I never got to the level of exploiting that game the way people do in Marvel.
So has anyone heard of a reasonably sized tournament in which Oni was banned? Having a debate with some people down here that my character might be broken and that I might in fact be…“cheap”.
He was banned in New York right after arcade edition came out and they unlocked him before he was ‘officially’ released. Capcom didn’t want any footage of him and they were supposed to lock him back but instead just banned him from tournaments until he became official. That’s it.
