Ahem.
Damn, another potentially useful thread derailed by idiots.
training mode is good to help you learn your own style of gameplay, no matter what people may tell you each individual comes up kinda with his own style and little tricks that work for himself. spending a lot of time in training mode kinda elevates your gameplay imo, im getting off point, point is training mode can be used to improve your game greatly. as far as what to do in training mode to help differs from character to character [sent works on ff’s stomp patterns and secksi shid, magneto on combos, resets, and secksi shid including gb’s, cable can work on putting your opponent in the place you are most comfortable with him being when he sj’s, so set to auto sj, iono, if you have imagination u see where im going, same with storm, except she is juss broken, solid basics is key to good storm =)]
Yeah, retard. YOU DON’T LISTEN. But whatever, I’m not going to waste my posts on you. If you have anything else to say, don’t spam these boards, just PM me if you have a problem and we’ll talk about it then. If you’re not going to help this thread out and be a scrub, just go somewhere and do a triple team please…
Yeah toodles. I’m just not going to bother anymore if he says anything. I’m trying to get people to participate, but I keep getting responses that have nothing to do with this thread.
Yeah 50, I use the auto sj and all block sometimes to improve my trap teams. It helps me know the holes better of when people can super jump out and call assists. Because if they can jump out, they can surely call out an invincable AA. So yeah. Those are some great things listed.
Another thing that I find useful is the auto roll. Most people use auto roll to see if they can confirm a juggle and see if their combos work. If you open yourself to more, there can be even greater uses.
I use a couple of methods, say with storm I get them rolling. Then I would find set ups that I can bait them into rolling and getting crossed up or lets say get them rolling into Doom rocks while I do hailstorm and chip them to death. IMO people lack the importance of captializing on things like the roll. There are many ways to get people into rolling themselves into hell holes. Mag does it alot, so does ironman. I’m sure people can come up with things to make this work very well with other characters like cable who has limited mobility.
One tip is to use manual training if you can, because you have control of the other side characters. Like to get fast fly and stuff. Just make sure you’re not using it to get fast fly and practice Sentinel unfly combos in the corner all day. :wasted:
Hm, you’re right, but can you explain why you would ask for input on useful stuff to do in training mode even though you didn’t plan to apply any of it?
What have you contributed to this board besides this thread?
good shit on the advice im getting it really helps with everything (especially the info on storm). i basically use training mode to get used to the controls and execution wise before i go to the arcades so my hands get used to it.
btw @ green you shouldnt talk asking him what he contributed to the thread he did say things if you read the thread what did you contribute all you did was agree to something and post a smiley so dont even talk.
ouch. Triple team ftw!
training mode can be used to exploit the entire game. Anything you can ever think of or what to do can be done in there.
ruby heart / juggernuts / bbhood
aaa / dash / projectile
c.lk, c.lk, xx THC = insta-win.
Board, not thread.
It’s not your fucking job to waste space fool
think about the overall contribution you’re putting up here
You are simply going overboard with criticism
Snake is TRYING to help people out, you’re flappin your lips over silly booowlllshit.
how much have you actually contributed now???
quit with the bullshit already…
someone needed to lay the smackdown on him, we were all just waiting for mr. mixup. Man Speaks the truth, Amen Brotha
I apologize for derailing the thread again. Sorry to OP: I shouldn’t have spent the time criticizing you when instead I should’ve contributed what useful info I had to the thread.
@merdoc - you should’ve wrote me a poem if you felt that way.
I’ve seen you helping people on the forums for a while man, it just seems like such a waste to be picky when somone is helping others.
Mixup wins @ life

I hold nothing against you. This is shoryuken, shi’t happens. Apology accepted. So lets all just get along and help the community! :lovin:
A friend of mine told me some weird metronome trick with an electric piano. He figured out certain situation timings using the keyboard’s metronome and counting them before you did anything. Maybe that might help for certain things? Dunno, my idea is that if you listen to something for a long enough time it starts to become second nature and you get better at timing it.
random. hope that helps
i can match the randomness— if you play with the sound off you can teach yourself to time based on what the animations look like. this way you don’t get thrown off by people mashing, assists and all that goodness.
some characters need sound. Like strider for instance. If the opponent runs away during orbs, you can throw a short bomb for AA. Now you can’t see strider since the opponent is @ the top screen. Either you have to trust yourself you did it right which doesn’t always work or listen for the sound.
there is a visual confirm but sometimes you can’t see it. Especially against storm. Its reashuring to hear the “humph” from strider so you know what your working with rather than to guess that its there. Not knowing its there and playing the scenario out like is there can cost you the game. Its costed me a few.
