Good Games tonight to everyone. Don’t feel like writing much, but it was a good time. Congrats to ManDeezy for taking first.
Wait this was today? How many people showed? I was with Julius Blaze for most the day playing ST, Marvel, and Call of Duty for a long ass time.

Not as many people, but I felt like there were more exciting matches so fuck it. Obviously gotta give props to Mandel, he was definitely on point all night. Undefeated oo stop beasting. I could tell in casuals this guy had the eye of the tiger tonight.
KKFrank 3rd? I feel like I should be more impressed by this given how new this guy is to SF, but for he’s made such a smooth transition I feel like he’s been playing as long as everyone else. Definitely good shit.
Mike, seemed like it just wasn’t your night tonight, it was like you would be playing hella good and then just a couple costly execution errors got you. Your match with
Mandel was awesome, you played really well, could have gone either way.

Last but definitely not least, Frankdank was beasting tonight, and I’m not just saying that because he beat me in winner’s and loser’s:rofl: Very impressive play throught the whole tourney, nice work.
Oh yeah, I don’t know if they will read this or not, but good shit to the Bellevue guys James, Nick, Paul, and one more guy… damn I’m drawing a blank. I was impressed with all you guys considering you haven’t had a lot of time with the game. I saw a lot of potential and it would be tight if you guys practiced more and shit and starting coming often.
I feel like the quality of the matches this time around were A LOT better than last time. The difference is night and day really. Everybody was on point in the final 8. It was like the second the top 8 was announced, everybody brought their A game to the table. I can’t wait to see the matches man. I recorded some of the earlier matches as well, so I’ll be uploading those pretty soon. GGs to everybody tonight. It was cool to see the newer players come out (Nick, James, Paul, etc), hope to see you guys around more often.
All in all, I would say that everybody leveled up something serious. Narrows SFIV is real thorough.
Also gotta shoutout the peeps that kept Trace from knocking out that random white dude by the air hockey table lol. Trace was about to crease that guy.

gg’s y’all. i was the last player from bellevue my name is Drew. It was great to finally get my hands on sf4, been many years in the waiting. I felt so handicapped by all the newness, hope to figure some stuff out and bring it next time. Nice to meet some other folks on the scene, we are primarily 3rd Strike players but can’t wait to get savage with this.

Sounds like everyone had fun, that’s good but I am so frustrated from my shitty luck. My tire blew out on the way there so I couldn’t make it. Even though I was most of the way there, by the time I was moving again it was so late that I had to head back home before I even set foot in Narrows.

So yeah - anyone that wants to see a test video of what I’m tryin to do with these videos from the tourney can hit up our site and look for the “And now for a taste of things to come” news update. Hopefully the rest of these videos will be finished off tomorrow (along with the 3rd tourney poster) - and I’ll get everything on DVD and back to KoreanFrank.
COLE: The video that is on display is the only “large” (640x480) file, just shrunk down to 320x240 (to match the other smaller ones). It seems that the larger your video is recorded, the better the overall framerate is - so since you’re rocking a 4gig card, you don’t have to worry about not having enough space for the ‘final eight’ (the large 640x480 file is about 87megs, while the 320x240 ones are 10-15megs…so even with this being a 4 gig card you should have ample space to fit all the match videos on your camera [there were only 28 video files total, which leaves a safe 1.5gigs of space free after all is said and done])
edit: if there’s a way to directly embed youtube videos here, someone feel free to do so, as it will keep people who don’t want to visit our page from having to just to see this one match vid.

Those Mandel/Mickey D matches were freakin’ epic. Man, Mandel making that big comeback while he was on the brink of elimination. Had me at the edge of my seat! The past tournament had some amazing matches in general.
