Well hats off to you. Still in the end Tacoma and Puyallup are shitty ass places. PERIOD. And I will do my damndest to avoid going down there any means possible, minus some SFIV when it’s the only place to play it (during MNF’s).
All in all I hate Tacoma with a passion, shit ass place can burn to ash for all I care.

I felt the same way about Puyallup 90% of the time.
I’m kind of doing the same thing in Omaha ATM too. I’ve been inviting people over to play and see if they can help me get better and vice versa. Plus it helps me meet a lot of new people and become more familiar with their scene.
I hope when I come back to Seattle for a few weeks after Evo I can show Kenny and others how much I’ve (hopefully) improved in my games I play and just as a person as in general. I got off on the wrong foot with a lot of you guys and I generally feel bad about it. The ones who I met at Evo generally didn’t mind them even though I only spoke with them briefly. I had a blast with Fishjie though. That dude is crazy.
But, it’s been a while, we’ve all grown, matured more…etc. Especially me. The school of hardknocks is a bitch. It’s so worth it when you graduate though.

Pimpin, as I stated in my first post. I was born and raised in Tacoma for 25 years, and honestly it doesn’t even take that long to realize how shitty, run down, awful that shit hole of a city is. You don’t want to hear the horror stories of shit I had to deal with down there not only with my job, but just places in general.
Did you know that Tacoma was ranked as the most depressing city in the U.S.?
Did you forget about that guy that went on a shooting rampage in the Tacoma Mall?
Did you know that there were at least two murders 5 blocks from where I used to live with my grandma?
You really don’t want to know how many crack/meth heads I know down there. Including 1 blind crackhead, and 2 parapalegic dope fiends.
You want to know how it feels to clean up blood and needles inside my job’s bathroom for 2 months straight? Note that this wasn’t even in Downtown, but off of 72nd and Hosmer, what was once a nice neighborhood filled with senior citizens and middle classed families raising their kids has turned into a treasure trove of homeless people thanks to their plan to drive the homeless out of downtown tacoma, as well as building the “new” Shalishan destroying random homeless parks hidden in the woods.
Speaking of Shalishan, they spent all that money in trying to get that place a new image with new houses and shit like that then not even 2 months later, someone is murdered there.

This thread went random. I was born in Seattle and lived there until I was 9 and then I moved out to Spanaway and was out there until I graduated from high school. I hated it out there hahah. Anyway, I’m glad there are peeps down South still playing SF. We had a small amount of peeps playing out at Narrows before the console version came out. Peeps should post up when they’re planning on heading out.
My brother and I travelled to Tacoma Mall arcade quite often in the early MvC2 days. Frank and Deezo know what’s up. Man, that place was insane. hahah
Man kill that noise, Tacoma wishes it was as tight as Compton. On the realz, Tacoma seems to be the designated shit hole of Western Washington. There was this one girl trying to lure me to her place. She was hella down to pound, but I gave up a taste of her fish sauce because of dat location. The only thing to ever tempt down there was Narrows for SFIV and the Dairy Queen right next to it. Those chicken tender baskets are bomb as fuck. Pour on the gravy cuz.
