T13: Foney Match Callouts

Can we rename this thread to the east/west Canada shit talk thread or something

Why in the hell is cartoon voice commentator trying to trash talk rebelo? Rebelo is both an accomplished player at Marvel and SF4, having placed high in multiple tournaments and having beaten many notable players from Canada and the US. Who the hell is cartoon voice commentator? Right, his biggest accomplishment is being the annoying little brother of Calgary’s only SF4 player.

The biggest irony is you tools not realizing how bad you make the rest of Canada look.

We don’t need a bunch of posturing, ghetto-wannabe, dick waving asshats representing the whole the country. It’s not a good look, especially when you fools fall short every fucking time it actually counts.

*dick-waving

You do realize the only people who even bring up that video are WC people right? Pretty sure rae and those guys werent standing around in Canada t shirts with flags and banners. It was players calling out a player. Tone it down a bit with your canadian pride. Your statement is the exact same as me saying you guys let Evo (Ric) represent canada by calling out daigo in his random lunatic moments…for shame

Let’s be honest here…UberJohnson is the best representative of Canada. Adios amigos!!!

I learned that if you read UJ’s posts like you would hear a wrestling shoot with fans cheering in between sentences, they become that much more entertaining.

You want to represent Canada instead? then start fucking practicing the game and start placing high in tournaments and travel to major tournaments like these guys have been doing for years. Free coast mentality is unbelievable sometimes.

Im seriously sick and tired of nobodies posting up saying how EC gives canada a bad rap and all this fucking bullshit. EC has done nothing but good for the canadian scene. For years they were running the T series which brought up american players before the scene got huge. T12 had one of the craziest marvel grand finals i have ever watched as well as AE. Toryuken had an amazing level of competition and was a another bonus for canada with henri winning it.
We’ve been nothing but hospitable to the players who come up on their own and the ones individuals such as myself, russell, rxs and TTT have sponsored to improve the level of coverage and play Canada as a whole gets. So before you open your mouth again, think about how little you have done and realize you are a complete fucking dbag for even putting your hands on the keyboard and attempting to downplay the work people have put into the scene.

Sidenote: I would easily give lapchi as big if not bigger recognition for his work (as he deserves it), but i was merely listing EC canadas accomplishments. Didnt want to cause a EC vs WC accomplishment battle.

The only thing I’ve learned here is EC is superior at internetting for lulz.

Lol do you really think I was trying to downplay what people have done in the scene? It was a joke dude. I agree with you lol

no lol…i quoted the wrong person…meant to quote the duckstrong lol

we all agree UJ is the EC pillar, no need to deny what he has done for all of us.

hahahaha please tell me you are one of the regular guys on the mic out east

also I’m flattered you think i’m joz’s younger brother. livin the good healthy life really does pay off

Haha this is the best.

Im a chill guy but honestly im sick and tired of fucking scrubs saying we make canada look bad. Morons dont realize that at least half the americans that come to our events is because we go to US and spread word of mouth. Ive only been to summer jam and by sunday alot of people knew i was canadian an who the canadians were.

Hell rebelo/joker cant go to the us so he reps hard onlineand now has a stream to help build us. Even the anime guys repcanada hard when they travel.

We rep canada so hard you stream monster faggots dont rep shit but your mouths.

Team Bill’s House FTW

Anyone want to give me odds on Bee making the 5v5 team? He’s gotta go through 2 high level EC players to make it on the team so I’m asking for 5-1. I’ll put $50 on him making the team and send the money down with Bee. Just so were clear that would be my 50 to someone’s 250. Odds are that I’m throwing my money away considering how fast people were to protest his spot on the team, but I’m willing to back my guy. Any takers?

The chachaman makes me proud… Edit: this guy got his “G” back!! Chachamangg
There will always be haters. Let them hate it’s just sad that they pop off on people that are trying to help the scene, they just dont see that.

Winnipeg would like to chime in.

Also, please save some stuff for Canada Cup, I want to witness some rivalry firsthand :3

Sorry i dont keep up much with SRK threads. (This is RDK by the way)

EDIT:
@Russell: i know you are organizing this event and we all thank you greatly for that but choosing the teams is not something a tournament organizer should be handling. If that were the case people like Big-E and the guys who put together Seasons Beatings would choose the players to rep Team East Coast. Please let the more dedicated marvel community handle this.

Personally im not interested in doing a 5v5 unless i feel confident in my team. With that being said i think these are our strongest players and the only players that are worthy of being on the team

  • Joker
  • NickScum
  • Disgruntled Goa
  • Myself
  • Bee
  • Rebelo
  • QuanDizzle

@White-R: sorry buddy but you seem really inconsistent now-a-days, your team dmg output is never optimized and you dont seem like your putting much effort into the game. Dont get me wrong, i still remember the days you dominated but you even said so yourself that you dont play as much. Theres lots of time from now until T13 to get back into shape. If i see your back in top form i’d definitely agree you at least deserve a chance on being on the team.

From my own experience of playing with everyone i mentioned above, i think Joker, Nick, Myself should be locked in place. I REALLY and i cant stress this enough really want Disgruntled Goa on the team. US players have very little experience vs Trish and Goa is extremely solid and consistent. His team is also very cheap as well. Matchup wise, i believe Goa is really beneficial to our team and we’d be foolish not to have him on it. So thats my top 4 i guess.

The 5th spot being a toss up between Rebelo, Quan, and Bee.
All 3 of these players are godlike. But being godlike isnt enough, you need to think like a team to beat a team:

For counter matchup purposes i like Rebelo because his team deals with very mobile characters VERY well, has 1 touch kills and snipes assists sooo easily. Rebelos team also has very easy hit confirms and simple combos leaving very little room for execution error.

Although i havent played Bee, its very clear to see that his movement may easily be S-tier. I havent seen anyone move like that since joker or yipes. Bee also plays spencer, who im very fond of cuz he bops characters so easily. My problem with both the teams ive seen you use is you cant really kill in one touch, all the time. Im not gunna explain why this is important cuz if your a top player you should already understand this. I still wanna sit down and play some sets with you so i can really gauge your skill before i give a real final opinion.

Lastly QuanDizzle using team fchamp is also gdlk. There are very few people who really know how to use magnetos m-blast quan is definitely one of them. Im definitely not gunna deny having another magneto on our team. Also quan has really stepped up his dormammu-missile zoning which can be infuriating. Dorm zoning with missiles can break down even the best of players. I know from now until T13 quan will definitely have it perfected.

This is all my opinion however. I honestly believe Team Canada should be decided among these 7 people as the jury or myself being the team captain and i will chose.

I seriously believe we can win this and come out on top. I only want canada to shine. Even if the top 7 jury feels i shouldnt be on the team, i’ll gladly step back and ill still be right behind everyone coaching and cheering us on.
