just wondering, is this guaranteed to apply even to the smaller games that could usually finish in one day?
Nothing is decided yet on that end. Plans are Top 4 for smaller games. Top 8 for the big ones.
All in all, Top players will go to Sundays events. This is not set in stone so things could change.

If you’re in top 4. you kind of want to be there Sunday to play and collect your cash. Most of the side tournaments have 200 dollar pot bonuses. That alone should justify the top 4 players showing up the next day.
Won’t this detract from people actually WATCHING Top 8 and kinda kill the hype?
I agree; may I suggest for teams to start on Sat and have top 3-4 teams battle it out on Sunday?
If we start teams finals first thing on Sunday it can easily finish before the top 8 of main attractions. (not trying to imply MK/BB/Tekken/SC are irrelevant btw)
Cramming everything on Saturday is the problem.

Last few US Majors i went to, Team tournaments for Major games (4, MVC3) ran early on Sunday during the Top 8 of side tournaments. There were no team tournaments for any of the side games. That way 4 and MVC3 players got to play teams if they wanted and didnt’ miss top 8 of 4 and MVC3.
Any estimates on when registration will begin on Saturday? Trying to decide with the Windsor crew if we want to grab a hotel for two nights or one. 3-4 hour drive from Windsor so if it starts too early we pretty much need a hotel on Friday.
So how strict is that schedule gonna be??
Our scene is the most notorious for loafting and having teams on sunday doesnt smell like a good idea.
Make it strict. I don’t like waiting on people in tournaments. It’s not fair for those who shows up on time.
The door will probably be opens at 10-11a and we can take down registrations during that time.
Ah yes, the community is pretty bad when it comes to being late and disappearing. The ban hammer will be on hand in the festivities.

Also: Before anyone gives a smartass comment, and so I don’t need to borrow anyone’s gear. I’m ordering up a stick from Night Raven (L-Series model type with PS3-360 dual modding), so I won’t have any problems using converters like what happened with me last time.
No teams for for 3S, just singles.
