the 1000$ pot bonus is already a great incentive to encourage US players to come. u dont need to do more than that.
who are you paying to come? i hope its not some greedy sponsored players. seems the sponsored players are the ones who usually beg for money matches and ask for more $$$. I even saw some of those fools begging for AE for PC codes on twitter.
anyway, regardless of US players or not, im sure your event will be great, dont bend over backwards to please some sponsored players.

Alright I’ll cut through the nonsense that said questionable comment has brought to light.
- No PLAYER is getting paid to come and take our money, that is an erronous remark in itself. This has never happened before and is not happening now.
- There ARE individuals who are attending from out of town that are giving major value adds to the event itself (Team Sp00ky), that we have taken the obligation of looking after for the duration of the event.
If anyone does want to know the nitty gritty details of the price increase you can contact myself at RXS@torontotoptiers.com or Russell at neorussell@torontotoptiers.com. We realize the price increase comes as an inconvenience to some and our aim was to place additional value to you as a player to help justify the cost (as outlined in Russell’s earlier post). We appreciate your understanding, and hope we can all work together to continue supporting each other and make T12 the best T tournament yet.

There are many reasons for adding an extra $5 for Venue Fee but here are the biggest reasons why:

Veasna my post says that Neorussells post was not valid. I am one of the organizers and I am saying that no players are being paid to come. We have made accommodations for team spooky as they are working/streaming. I hope that clarifies that for you.

Based on the dumbass things that you’ve posted and deleted, I’d say our views are exactly the same, except I can be real about it cause I’m not the one fucking the community over. If you had any integrity you’d man up and eat the costs that you committed yourself too in the first place. If you look at previous T tournies there have always been costs to eat from the tournament directors, and this was back before streaming and all this sponsored player bullshit existed. Tournaments are supposed to be about the games, not trying to gain popularity amongst gamers across the country who don’t give a shit about our scene.
Personally i’m paying $40 venue fee in the hopes of seeing Russell “NeoRussell” Idon’tknowhislastname, a top player in more than 3 games as evidenced by the T12 trailer.
Honestly, I dunno about you guys…but I would pay an extra $5 (maybe more) to bring in UVG Noel Brown. (But only him)

Krasshole: Sorry man but i’ve eaten the cost of far too many T Tournaments and this year I just don’t want that to happen again. I run these tournaments in hopes of bringing the community together for 1 weekend and bring great gameplay action.
My choice of words a page ago was certainly incorrect. We are not paying any players to come to T12 nor are we using the extra $5 to cover their expenses. The extra $5 is to cover Hotel rental, Equipment, Spooky and a few other cost that come in creating such a big event. I’ve crunch the numbers many times and I clearly jumped the gun when I posted $20 as venue fee a week ago. I’m only human in that retrospect. That price was just not gonna work out altogether and I DO Apologize about the price change but it was really needed.
I do promise that if you come, you will have a great time. You can use TTT’s past tournaments as perfect examples. TTT is not in the business to stiff you money. There is a reason for everything and as I mentioned before, I can talk to you directly if asked.
TTT is not in the business to screw players off their money. I’d create venue free tournaments if we didn’t need to rent one. A lot of tournament organizers would agree on that one. I do hope that last few pages does not turn you off in coming to T12. If that is the case, we understand. We do hope you watch the streams regardless.

P.S. Dadesi: my last name is Ordona and venue fee is $25 not $40. I don’t think I can get top 3 in all games. Maybe Tekken and SCIV but there’s too many good players in SSFIV, MvC3, and MK that I do hope to place high. Thanks for rooting for me though.
