I did a podcast for wakeup srk, its on the front page and I spend 5 minutes or so talking about how great T11 was so give it a listen if you want.
props to everyone that came great weekend props to art for beating me in winners finals and grand finals now im just going to feen even harder for the game so i can beast him next time around and most of all props to all the gta for cheering me on … oh and by the its spelled rebelo not rebello only 1 L its all good it a very common mistake
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll be sure to update it accordingly.
I’m not exactly getting the whole bias part. I called it how it went down. In teams, you guys dominated. In singles, Arturo and Rebello got 1st and 2nd respectively. Had I gotten some interview time with you guys (4th and 5th Place) it may have been written differently since I would have included more background story on you guys but it just didn’t happen that way. I’ll try and cover MTL players a bit more next time.
Edit: I’ll change the spelling of your name in the article accordingly.
Ra’id, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The article is written as what you precieved it to be according to your experiences. It’s not intentionally biased. These kinds of feelings have been arounds since the beginning of tournaments being run off SRK between ON and MTL. The OG players find it hard to let it go (this includes all of the cliques within the GTA/Ontario area), even though the scene has basically wiped it self clean on a new slate, with new community leaders and such.
freddyloco paused the game on nguman 19 times in 3s teams. True story. Put that in the article. What a douchebag!
T11 isn’t the 11th T tourny. Otherwise, great article!
Ran smoother than last years T tourney, and great seeing everyone there. Looking back then and now I can see how this scene came about, me moving from pad to stick and how far we’ve progressed.
we all have to train harder so we can compete better
T11 is indeed the 11th T Tourney. T1 was a house tourney. T2 onward has been arcade or a rented out venue
FYI… Snafoo did beat Art in a MM… so that’s one less “unfortunate soul”
I’m still in shock that I didn’t win this entire tournament.
Thanks to everyone involved for helping to run t’ings.
Thanks to Emily for the baked goods.
Thanks to rb999, Ra’id and Anant for the rides. (Now everyone who asks how I manage to get around, knows.)
Thanks to Quanny D for the Big V.
Thanks to Dennis Kim for the Messini’s action.
Special thanks to Gerjay and JayWang for breaking retirement to team with me.
Thanks to Dice for being mexican.
wouldnt worry about it IMO. Bias in articles can be a good thing (provided its basked-up by facts). It generates opinions that in turn spread word of mouth and eventually gets more people reading it. Anyway, an article without a personal point of view would be little more than a recitation of facts, which would just be boring.
Shout-outs to everyone who ran it. Shout-outs to the peeps on stream who counter-trolled the pro-US anti-Canada shit talk.
Shout-outs to Rebelo for stepping his game up big time. To art for great commentating (and winning… w/e). oh and to Canada in general for holding what looked like a hype tourny. Good shit.
Finally shout-outs to vince’s mum.
That may or may not have been my fei that got air thrown out of a chickenwing
T11 Article by Iron Sheik is in front page of Shoryuken.com
