T.Hawk Laboratory

Ted’s your mother.

Every post you’ve made (that I’ve seen) since you joined SRK, a whole 2 weeks ago, shouts to the world, “Hey look, I’m an ignorant fool!” And now you get ass hurt when someone tells you about it. Typical 13 year old getting their rocks off on the internet I guess.

Keep up the good work. Cause like I said, it is funny, but just funny to laugh at you.

If you wish to continue this nonsense you can PM me because this is not the proper thread to discuss BS.

guys, less drama and more focus on the thread. or message each other. hope you understand why the request.

thanks

Um, yeah. I said that already in my post. No worries.

I never understood why the general idea of standing 720 not being possible. Unless you’re talking about a neutral standing start, it’s easy to buffer in the 720 motion immediately after hitting another button. E.g P2 is on the corner, I press f+LK,:360::360:PPP and the move will come out after. It won’t work with a starting jab though.

yes when someone says standing 720 that’s exactly what they mean. neutral standing no other inputs to buffer from. There are many ways to buffer 720 on the ground. Taunt 720 is another.

LOL! I forgot about taunt.

The reason that I already knew about that buffering was from MK1 on SNES! The controls were so laggy you could buffer moves standing that even required up commands LOL.

Am I the only one that has a hard on for Hawk’s standing HK? Seriously, backing away during opponent’s wakeup and throwing the HK out from midrange is one of my absolute favorite tactics, so simple yet many times completely unexpected. Just throwing it out there.

^^ FP is much better because its faster and has a longer reaching hitbox. I stopped using HK as much in exchange for fp. If these moves hit everyone crouching id be so happy. Also you can connect a fp after a counter hit jab

st.HK is also becoming quite the focus bait. I use it mostly to stuff anticipated jumps and trade with projectile startup. it’s a free jump in for the opponent if you whiff it though so it’s best to be judicious with it.

Yeah, I’ve been reading a lot about how much use people get from FP, so I’m trying to work it into my style. I love st.HK, but I’ve definitely had it backfire on me before. What are your thoughts on j.mk? I’ve had it out priority ryu j.mk a couple times for the win and I’ve been using it here and there ever since. Also, post body splash, what is the best move to follow with on a cross up? I usually go for the DP if the body splash hits, but after the first time I find myself needing to mix it up. So far a couple cr.mk after body splash seems to do the trick, but I’m interested in other options.

I freaking LOVE j MK. It’s so useful because it has long range, and it can hit if you jump back and they jump to follow. Love it.

cl.s.mp is a good followup to splash since you can cancel it to lp.TB or ex.CS on hit and it leaves you at 0f on block for tick throw setups.

Edit: how can you do 2 cr.mk after a splash? There shouldn’t be enough frame advantage after hit.

You can link dp off a close jab. No counter hit needed. Kind of fast but you can see the jab hit then dp and it will all combo off a splash. You can also see xup splash cr.lk hit and cancel that into dp. the hit stun on splash is so long

Hey has anyone found any options selects yet for T-hawk? I’ve been meaning to test stuff out but i’ve been really lazy haha

Aparently;)…you should read the thread. Tamanapants has a whole huge write up on O-S.

So either you are joking or trolling or you haven’t read any of this thread. There are at least a couple pages of OS in this thread. Use the search or just read.

Joking and lazy :P, eh i didnt feel like paning through the pages so i did that for giggles i guess lol.

Sorry, I didn’t mean I’d combo into it. It’s just a good low attack that catches players off guard after a body splash. It’s not super reliable, obviously.

I think this must be how to play against the low crouch characters…using the lk on reaction to seeing the splash hit.
