I got 15th (I’m guessing, someone said it was a 60 man bracket and thats the lowest I could have gotten) in MVC2 @ EVO South, got RAPED my Gene Flower in the 3rd round (he went on to place 2nd.).
I think I was the only Louisiana SRK’er there!
Hadouken and Benmonkey were there, although I haven’t heard from either of them to see what they did. There’s also Mag-X, although I guess he’s considered Texas now.
If you’re really into Marvel, playing with Gene anytime you’re in Houston will help out quite a bit, he can teach you a lot.

Hey y’all. I’m new in LA and I figured this would be the best place to make a post. I was wondering if there were any arcades that have Capcom fighting games near the Monroe/West Monroe region. I moved from Corpus christi, TX to LA about 3 months ago. Ive been out of the fighting game loop for around 4 years due to MMORPGS. D: I played MvC2, 3rd strike, alpha 2 & 3, and some CvS2. Thanks in advance.

As far as north louisiana comp, you are looking at it. You can get random MVC2 comp at the pecanland mall in monroe, at the tilt. there are no other fighter cabs but T5, but weekends and friday night can get crowded, but no one knows top teams and the like, there is one very, very good charlie player there however.
I live in Shreveport, but I work 3 days a week in monroe and my parents live in Farmerville (30 miles from monroe).
I’ll play anything! I’m mainly a MVC2 player, but I’ll play 3s and whatever else, I’m glad someone that plays has moved up here, as I’m the only one!

well, as long as you live in south louisiana you are going to be somewhat close to a city that has some players, it’s mainly north louisiana that is nothingness.
you’re kinda close to N.O. and Baton Rouge, both have players.
