Swedish Cartoonist Who Drew "Muhammad" Assaulted

… Wow.

The numbers speak for themselves. You think they’re not the bad guys? Of course you don’t. You’re fed misleading information every day. You’re ignorant.

Here are some headlines you don’t see on your nightly dosage of bullshit Fox news. http://www.ifamericansknew.org/cur_sit/missingheadlines.html

And, hah, not to mention, I was referring to a war happening in Lebanon, where INVADERS (Israelis) were being kicked out from Lebanese land, TWICE. How the hell did you interpret the Arabs to be the bad guys, here? We’re terrorists if we defend ourselves!

You didn’t get me right at all. I’m saying it would be wrong but in terms of safety, it’s seriously dumb. You seem to be misunderstanding my posts. It doesn’t matter if you want to use the freedom of speech the fact of the matter is that anybody should know that it is that hazardous to do so. Imagine if there where no security guards during that day, that guy could have seriously been destroyed. However, i do say that he should have edited it also if it was requested by the Muslims. You can’t just use any depiction of a religious figure in front of the religious members because it is insulting. So yes, if the Muslims did ask the guy to take out that drawing, then he should have done so. This issue fits the same degree when something personal to your life is depicted, and posted regardless of you asking the person to respect their sensitivity towards what will be shown. If some guy was to present a mockery of Jesus in his show, and i approached him before hand if he would be kind enough to remove that from his slide show, yet he was just an asshole and did it anyway then IMO, even so it is forbidden in Jesus’ teachings, that guy deserved to get dropped.

What the hell are you talking about? No, i’m saying that in thoughts of his own safety, he should have edited his presentation after seeing his audience. I’m not focusing on the freedom of speech i’m saying what is stupid. The terms of stupidity is like those mountain skiers going up such a dangerous mountain and then stumbling on their ass as they try a stunt. Popping up something like that infront of Mulsims will give you the same results as to saying “Sup my Nigga” to a bunch black gang members. I don’t care on the topic of freedom of speech, whatever with that.

that’s the thing. It’s not a breaking point. It’s part of their religion to punish people who portray images of the prophet. There is a massive difference between your family being insulted/attacked and a picture of a man.

Not to mention, i see a breaking point as a failure in a human being, rather than a religion/race/etc. Whatever happened to turn the other cheek? As HUMAN BEINGS we need to not be violent just because somebody makes as mad. That’s just idiotic.

Where do you draw the lines then? By allowing one religion to punish an offence (regardless of the perpetrator), you open the door for others to follow suit.

No, there isn’t. The respect and the love is there. Stop trying to pass it off as trivial to us. To you, maybe, but to us? No. So drop that stance, it’s not going to work. And no, you insufferable dumbass. It’s not ‘part of our religion’ to punish non-Muslims for creating images of the prophet. We just happen to respect Mohammed (p.b.u.h.) enough that some of us will react violently. I really would like to know where you’re learning all these ‘facts’ about our religion, because either you are being lied to, or you are pulling some doozies out of your ass. Pacifism is the default response.

It’s not idiotic. It’s natural. By inciting violence, you’re always going to get at least one taker. Not only are you marginalising and spreading hate of Muslims by creating these images in the first place, you’re then inciting inevitable violent reactions from at least one person. Then who pays for that violent reaction? Muslims as a whole.

You cannot accept your rights without your responsibilities. This ‘artist’ and his ‘art’ can only cause harm and hate. He is the one in the wrong because he’s too ready to flex his rights with no thought for responsibility. Even if no-one reacted violently, he’s only working to spread hatred of our religion and marginalise our faith with his faux religious ‘commentary’.

then deal with it in your own circles. As soon as you start attacking people who do NOT know the Qu’ran, or the religion, or who do not share your views, you’ve crossed a line. You have no right attacking people for not following your religious ideals. If you do, as I stated many times, cut yourself off from the rest of society, because frankly, we don’t give a shit.

When the middle east runs out of oil, u better believe NOBODY will be sticking up for muslims or their beliefs

So how many more times am I going to have to tell you that attacking people over these images is not part of our faith before it finally sinks in? Give me a rough estimate.

When I say I don’t see an offence as trivial, try not to prejudge my intention to be that I will automatically assault whatever it is that is offending me. I know it’s hard because you’re a complete dumbass, but I’m sure even you can learn to let your prejudice go some time.

Every time somebody has discussed it or did it, it’s resulted in this. The Danish comic, South Park, this swedish incident.

it isn’t prejudice. I have no problem with muslims, aside from their belief that they can tell non muslims how to live

If God wants pics of mohammed not drawn, let God burn them with magic

  1. Black people are the same as everyone else.

  2. However, a very small minority of black people steal things.

  3. I observe this minority engaging in these illegal activities.

  4. I conclude that black people steal things.

In conclusion, I am a dumbass.

  1. Islam does not state to attack those who depict the prophet.

  2. There exist people who are Muslims. These people follow the laws of Islam.

  3. A very small number of Muslims get violently angry over these images and attack those responsible.

  4. Most Muslims, however remain silent and passive.

  5. You observe the behaviour of the violent minority.

  6. You conclude “Muslims think they can tell everyone else how to live.”

In conclusion, you are a dumbass.

Do you see how this works? I hope this is simple enough. I even put a practice example in there.

are you just making stuff up now or do you really believe this?

Holy shit dwd. If you can argue against the very fabric of established history, I’d be very impressed.

And I guess all those bombings of schools and such are just fabricated, right?

Well, it’s common to me to see/hear such type of reactions from Muslims. I mean, based on my exposure, it is more common for a Muslim to react to issues like this. However, i do think pasting the stereotype of violence to Islam is a bit ignorant. It’s not like us Christians don’t have some of that… i’ve seen vids of people from the South of the USA protesting such horrible hateful signs “you’ll burn in hell”, “God hates catholics/pope/****” towards people who aren’t doing anything or even funerals of a certain person… In my mind that is allot more evil then some muslim running off and hitting someone for depicting stuff in their religion. It would sound fucked up to me to hear Christianity being generalized due to the activities of certain red necks.
It’s weak to debate with a muslim about their religion being evil. I’ve always saw it as a common personality, or “the pitbull on the news” type of thing than “they where taught like that from the quran”… just my take on that.

But that belief is inherent in religion! Being religious means you believe you are in touch with the 100%, ultimate moral truth of life, and that entails that you know better than people who are not “believers”.

Being black, or white, or asian, or any other race, does not entail any moral superiority. It’s only once you introduce some racial-based philosophy (which could become religious in its conviction) that the two cases would be equivalent.

I guess at least extreme Islamists really do live by the letter of their religious convictions, but that doesnt mean they arent idiots (imo) because, just like all other religious folks, they believe moral and metaphysical truth can come from the pages of a book. Which is crazy.

re: the cartoons, wel they are not actually of much artistic merit, so it’s embarrasing that they’ve caused such a fuss.

(oh and I would distinguish between religious belief and philosophical belief in God, which is different and much more defendable as it comes from pure thought rather than a crusty old book)

…no it doesn’t.

im sure muslims are equally as friendly as any other religious person. its great that we’re all behind free speech now. Earlier i thought there was some “just dont do it dude” comments - which is weird. But since normies aren’t contributing to that mess, i dont get why you would avoid doing it simply to avoid offending the violent minority.

“Holy shit dwd. If you can argue against the very fabric of established history, I’d be very impressed.” - that 140+ IQ at work.

Also we all get enough of the “shit happens” argument on the way to work. some stuff happens, so its okay to limit free speech.

No blood for oil.

Unless it’s Israeli blood.

The west is more than willing to sacrifice 5-15 Israelis on a weekly basis as long as it means keeping OPEC complacent.

“I’m not even sure how to respond to you ROK. The marriage was not arranged or forced in any way. Aisha lived with her parents until she wished to go and marry Mohammed. I really don’t see what’s wrong here.”

lol religious people are creepy.

No, not at all. Israel has indeed destroyed many schools, as well as farms, homes, factories, UN hospitals AND orphanages, not to mention thousands upon thousands of innocent human lives! Shocking, I know, but then you don’t hear this on CNN.

I think yesterday was like number five this year, i know once the poor guy had to run to his panic room.

Oh no, what a tragedy.

Now who’s going to go around headbutting artists when they draw something Muslims don’t like?
